Yes, it is worth watching if you don't enjoy too angsty dramas, this might be exactly you cup of tea
I cannot guarantee that you'll love the show. But it does get MUCH better and the next life (master/disciple one) is already one of the best. It has unexpected bromance of the male characters, hilarious moments between the leads and a appropriately tragic ending. (the second lead still meddles but not as much and his screen time later is more limited) And if you'll allow me a little spoiler: after the master/disciple life, the OTP gets together in Heavens too.
I know it's not gonna happen but now with XY standing before demon!CK's throne, I wish they would replay the similar scene from life #5.... CK: Why are you staring at me? XY: You remind me of my fiancé. CK: Oh? It's fate then, stay for a couple of days... 🤣🤣🤣
I can now therefore say I am officially hooked. ❤️ Watched until 3am this morning up to Episode 14. Tell me…
You have the best parts still ahead of you! For me, every next life was better than the previous one. If they deliver good ending this week, this might be one if my top favorite dramas!
it's a little bit weird that it always stays at 8.3 especially there are more votes, but score didn't go up nor…
lol I guess that everyone's system of rating is different - I am always trying to remember to rate all the dramas I finished, mostly to keep a track of what I watched :D

I don't think you are too harsh, it's natural that the rating is subjective and some dramas are overrated while the others are underrated. I think that LYST had a weaker beginning that failed to capture attention of viewers. And with the second mortal trial being too long and not too well edited, many dropped the show and rated it badly... Not to mention haters that are biased against YCY... I think that if they manage to end it well, it might still catch a second breath, as a positive word will spread on social networks. I hope this drama can eventually climb to at least 8.6 (which is the rating of ELoD, another great xianxia).
Wait a sec, just a random very silly thought: if they were stuck in a loop and thus some specifics in the various lifetimes played out differently each time, what if more than one Red Thread Master's story about how he transformed XY into a fairy was correct? (And XY somehow realizes/remembers that but the Red Thread Master is never certain which is right?)
They tried to make redemption arc for Xiu Ming as expected. I still dislike him for all the mess he did in those…
I am still not convinced that he thought that CK was the culprit all those years. I think he WANTED to think that but he was never certain. And I do trust what CH says in ep 32: that XM never actually thought that CK was the killer, not even 30k years ago, that's why he never confronted him during all those years. He tried to paint the ML as a villain before, sure, especially in the 3rd life. It would make things so much easier if CK was the villain in this story and he, XM, could then become the only person worthy of CH. But he backed off when the ML changed the FL's fate in the life #3, just as he backed off when the FL friendzoned him 30k years ago or now in the present time when he lets her go instead of forcing her to stay with him.
His obsession with the FL is still very unhealthy and I hope he'll get some new friends or some hobbies because living for just one person that he idolizes is pretty terrible actually.
I just started this drama but I have one burning question: is the heavenly emperor good or bad? Because he gives…
If you are asking for a spoiler, I will give it: he is bad, sorry, he is the villain. And yeah, it's impossible to find a xianxia with a morally good Heavenly Emperor! :(
YCY's make-up is spot on during the whole drama and I love how differently she looks e.g. as CH and as XY. But her look as a Tiger Demon is my favorite so far, the eyeliner, the little freckles, the line under her eye + the hairstyle = perfection! (I understand we're all distracted by DYX in grey wig and furs, but YCY deserves some praise too! <3)
Please tell me I am not the only one who has rewatched the scene of him sitting on the demon throne when she reveals…
Yeah, me too, visually it's a breathtaking scene! Also, I am imagining XY's thoughts being like: "Suprise bitch, told you you can't escape from me in this lifetime!"
If it's fair criticism, it should be given to any actors. I don't know who are you comparing her with, the bar…
I actually thought she was very good in these scenes, in shock, unable to fully process what happened and perhaps, perhaps she also felt that something was not right with the situation. I think that deep down she knew that CK was still alive, even before looking at the red thread. And she fully realized what happened when she analyzed XM and CK's words.
If I were XY I wouldn't tell the old man about CK and where I was going, that's too dangerous, anytime because…
Yes, it was a risk, but everyone in the Heaven knows that XY and CK have a strong bond because of their tribulations. I think she played her cards well and put on a show for Red Thread Master that would be in character for XY.
If she disappears without trace and telling her boss anything, that would be unusual for XY. But now, even if the Red Thread Master breaks his word and tells HX about this, HX will not know that XY has her memories back. A naive cloud fairy looking for her lover who knows where! HX might be fooled, well, at least for a little while.
Please forgive me if this has been explained below. I like to overanalyze so I have so many questions. I usually…
1) About the time loop: I hope it will be explained further in the remaining episodes, because I am not completely certain either. But the way I understand it is that their lives were: 30k years ago -> XY and God of War -> lives 1,2,3,4 -> reliving the memories of 30k years ago, thus coming to the start again Since their primordial spirits are connected now, they cannot die completely, so they are instead stuck in the loop and it seems no-one else is aware of it.
But something changed this time, this time CK brought the compass with him, so he and XY/CH left the scene of 30k years ago in time with memories intact.
2) I think that Xiu Ming never believed completely that CK is the culprit, CH says so in ep 32. It's possible he suspected it was HX, but could never be certain.
3) My guess is that Jin Luo let herself be caught. At least I hope that's the case. We don't know what CK, XY and JLa talked about and the next thing JLa did was that he stopped the search for Zihui and JLuo. So I hope it's a part of some plan.
4) Not sure about the demon cores, I think we need to know more in the next episodes.
I just realized: we were not privy to the whole conversation between CK, CH and JL. And the next thing we know is that Jin Luo was caught by the Demon King who presented her to HX. Is it possible they planned this...? What do you think?
I wonder what is the reason HX keeps asking CK to fix his primordial spirit. When CK's primordial spirit is fully…
The theory is that he wants to use CK's healing power to heal himself (either by stealing it or by making CK heal him). CK is a very powerful healer and HX's body is sick because of the doom mark and possibly from MY's power.
And if you'll allow me a little spoiler: after the master/disciple life, the OTP gets together in Heavens too.
CK: Why are you staring at me?
XY: You remind me of my fiancé.
