We also need an update on Jin siblings and Zihui in the next episodes.... (I am loving how noone is missing Xiu Ming XD). Are people posting spoilers somewhere?

Yeah, he was super shady from the beginning and I don't think I'll trust him in any drama now! :D But you know what was great? That the leads never particularly trusted him. Amnesiac CK was wary around him and XY only interacted him once. And once CK suspected that he is behind Li's death, he told XY immediately. #relationshipgoals #powercouple

OMG the preview of ep 32! I don't think they'll pull another CK's amnesia on us....will they?
(btw happy to know that angsty ride of the life #5 will end in the next episode)

I have to say though: I really liked how quickly they dealt with Jing Cheng's betrayal and the whole ordeal of CH's sister. The episode 30's pacing was insane!
We already more or less guessed how it would play out, there was no reason to prolong it, I was afraid they we would have to watch long minutes of the evil guy manipulating poor Ming Yue, but they only limited it to the most important things and cut right to the chase.

My friends, this is my first time watching an airing drama and I am so anxious! I just hope and pray they manage to finish this well, with a HEA and with everything tied up nicely.... the current arc is super cute but I am dreading its end and its aftermath....

Just give it time. Use fast forward button if you'll feel that the first mortal arc drags.
The FL is at her silliest in the first episodes, she becomes much better later (we are now in the current episodes discovering reasons for it...).
I think that the first 7 episodes are the hardest to get through, the first mortal trial ends in ep 12 and every next life is then better than the previous one.

It's possible, we don't know how old CK is yet... But we also know that Xiang Yun in the present time is 3000 and she's considered very young by her peers. And she is the same age now in the past as CH. But CK seems to be someone who likes to avoid responsibility and just travels the world and kills demons and stuff, while CH has been burdened by responsibility for her clan since young age. That is why she seems slightly more mature, even if their same age....

Noone knows for sure. The theory is that actually their identities as amnesiac God of War and young Cloud Fairy count as 1 life and in the final episodes they will be finally completely themselves - with all memories, powers etc.

No wonder she learned swordsmanship so quickly in the life 3, of course he taught her before! <3 I love all the parallels so much!

It's not, the 2nd lead only meddles in the lives 2 and 3 (if we count the animal one as life 1). But the leads only ever have eyes for each other.

The beginning is very slow and doesn't seem very well written.
I honestly recommend fast forwarding through the more boring parts in the first mortal arc (eps 2-12).
However, the finale of this arc is good (from ep 8 onward) and the pace and quality has been rising ever since.

This is a very light, cute drama, but it also defies many first impressions that you might get from it at the beginning.

We are nearing the finale now (28 eps have been released and I watched them all) and we are getting the pay-off for the awkward first episodes and for what the leads are like at the beginning.
Because we are learning their history and we are learning why they are like that at the start.
(I will not spoil anything more)

Watch this if you need to de-stress. This is not a heavy angsty drama with a complicated plot.
But it is also not as cliché and simple as it seems at the first sight.
And prepare yourself for the cuteness overload because this OTP delivers!

I gotta say, I am not crazy about the plot twist with the FL's "evil" twin, because it's so cliché and overdone.
Fortunate twin who lives in the light and has everything and the unfortunate one, hidden/banished and dwelling in darkness...

You know what I would really love now? If the sister wasn't evil or jealous at all.

And the evil guy came to her, trying to lure her to his side and saying things like: "Your sister has taken everything from you, don't you want to go apeshit?"
And she would say: "You know what? NO!"

And then the evil guy would kill her, absorbing her powers or something, wreacked havoc and blamed it on CH.

That's the development I would love the most because it would go against usual expectations.

Oh my god, episode 27 is pure cuteness overload!

I don't think that anyone who watched this far (ep 26) can say with clear conscience that YCY is doing a bad job.

I seriously can't believe that she's still getting hate in China, because I think that she's doing great portraying different aspects of the FL in all the different lives.

And she also did good job when she portrayed the ML in the body swap episode! I'd even say that I could see CK more clearly in her than XY in DYX.

I haven't seen this actress before in anything but I will definitely keep an eye on her future projects. (fingers crossed they will cast DYX and her in a modern rom-com, their chemistry is so good!)

It was, but it fit within that story. Basically, in LBFaD the leads are not who they seem (the ML is a softie who had emotions removed from him and the FL's personality is technically not her real self at all).
But in LYST, they are instead discovering who they REALLY are and who they've been all along! CK didn't fall in love with someone who was a different person, he always loved the foxy, playful and little silly CK/XY!

Now my biggest hope is that in the next life, the demon one, the leads will team up with Zihui, Jin Luo and Jin Lian in the demon world and that they will actually join forces in the fight against the big bad!

I hoped that the first (draggy/cheesy) episodes of this drama would have some pay off once we see the bigger picture and so far these new developments do deliver!

THE PRESENT MIRRORS THE PAST AND I AM LOVING THIS!!!
