As much as i love this drama, if i was Pio, if i even could manage to reconcile with Jeongyo after the truth is…
Yep i already saw it on Twitter, that's so freaking funny, it's like i manifested it. My complaints still stand, but it's nice to get something. Thanks!
I think the discussion about this one should be more nuanced. Like, we do not need endless feel good stories, but why is the alternative constant suffering? We do not need to see sex scenes to believe that they're in love, but why is being even slightly more affectionate than you are with your average friend is forbidden? "They don't need to be lovers to be soulmates" what's with the constant queerbaiting then? Confusing as hell.
Of course you're sooooo deep for thinking that this is better than an average gay story. Wondering though, when will it end being a choice between "Nothing is spoken and it's sooo romantic" and "low quality slop". Being a queer person is actual hell.

The main problem that i noticed is that if they were a man and a woman, how their life worked out wouldn't have been kept in the dark. You have to imagine it yourself, which is alright, I'm not stupid. But at some point "imagine it yourself" when it concerns relationship between two men or two women gets pretty tiring. Especially if there were not that much scenes of them together in the final push of the show. But i suppose that's the soft censoring for you. Can't show that they're 100% platonic cause that's not true, can't show them together either in one more bonus scene.
They're both two very complicated people, and even with everything working out, one scene is sadly not enough to believe that everything is gonna be alright forever and ever, like, at least talking a little bit more would've been alright. But like i said, I'm not stupid and very imaginative, so i let that slide and rated it pretty highly lol.

Eeh, perhaps. Even so, there isn't enough information in the last two episodes to see how will the rest of their lives work out, considering that keeping their relationship intact wasn't easy even back in the good old days. That's my main point, I didn't like how rushed the ending felt. I would've loved if they put more scenes of them figuring the whole mess out, or if there were more episodes, at least 14.
sorry guys, i read what you suggested and finished the series and no it didnt make up for it. heres a main thing…
As much as i love this drama, if i was Pio, if i even could manage to reconcile with Jeongyo after the truth is revealed, our relationship wouldn't be as close as they were before.
I would've loved it very much if they spend more time showing how rocky their relationship is after all that, but they didn't, and left the viewers hanging. So in that sense, the story feels incomplete. Like, they had about three scenes together after the reveal, and then they're just peachy again? No matter how forgiving the person is, i can't imagine that there isn't some leftover bitterness in Pio that wouldn't explode in their faces. Maybe if they showed that, in the days prior to the playing together again scene, the whole ending would've been more touching. Instead, it feels very "really? And that's it?"
I think that's why a lot of people prefer their highschool dynamic. And writers wanted to return to it, too, but it felt like they were hastily slapping together pieces of a broken vase with glue.
thank you for sharing this lovely interpretation. i like how you took the wolf and sheep imagery and applied it…
Thank you :] i rotated writers words in my brain for a while, and it clicked for me when i remembered some art of passive predators that I've seen, so i came up with this. I'm glad that you liked it ❤️
Have you ever stopped to think that there's a bunch of people who think differently from you, or all the opinions…
I'd rather not read anything Falhon says, cause their behaviour is creeping me out. Besides, I'm more than capable of doing my own research. That's what i base my opinions on.
Regarding one liner hate comments, I'm actually not surprised? A lot of people are more emotional than rational, especially when the matter concerns something they're strongly against. If they bother you so much, you can just block them. That doesn't mean that they're not real people or whatever, thinking that is pretty narrow minded tho, because that means you do not see others emotions as valid, even if they're negative.
Korean public says way more emotional and harsher things way more often than I've seen people say in here. Scaring people by going wooo lawsuit is not gonna make anyone speak respectfully. It just makes people dislike you more, because you're censoring their freedom of speech. I have a neutral opinion on that, but historically speaking, people do not take it well when their FOS is taken from them. Keep that in mind next time.
A reminder to everyone: Disagreeing with someone doesn't give you the right to insult, mock or harass them. If…
TLDR: They stalked comments of a bunch of people and expect that their "careful investigation" and a wall of words would prove that they're more fair than people who use harsh words towards someone they see as a criminal. Tough luck. Cause that's creepy as hell and only proves that those people don't jump from one opinion to another as quickly as some others do. And if you continue to monitor them after you've been blocked, that's even creepier. That goes both for the defenders and people who are opposed btw. Your "investigation" towards both sides is equally icky. You're not the police, you're just a commenter.
Have you ever stopped to think that there's a bunch of people who think differently from you, or all the opinions that don't match yours are "bots" to you?
Gonna be insufferable one more time but only because i just finished it yesterday, but the wolf and a sheep dynamic is interesting precisely because it's not the typical interpretation of it.
Jeongyo is a "starved wolf" because of the passion that burns in his heart, and his determination in pursuing it. It's his natural talent and his greatest weapon. Pio is a sheep with his meekness, following the rules and techniques and opinions of others, and because he by himself never presented any threat to Jeongyo.
When you think of them, at least the healthier variation of their relationship, the imagery of Jeongyo as a wolf only comes up as a predator that deliberately hides their teeth and dulls their claws, aka his initial passion for music, to pursue what his heart actually desires - closeness with Pio. Because he knows that the "sheep", who is insecure and skittish, will only accept him on those terms.
After the separation, it's a full on actual starved predator, who has no care if he hurts what he secretly wants, and chases after it with malicious intent. It's the closest to the widely known predator and prey interpretation that you get in the show.
And after everything is said and done, it's back again to the initial dynamic, albeit even better, because now Pio recognises what Jeongyo wants and needs, and accepts it, with the sheep chasing after the wolf, knowing that it's hunger won't hurt it. They're on the same page now, even with their differences, because of the sacrifices they made.
No matter how you see it, platonic or romantic, it's a really interesting dynamic to pick apart.
I really don't see now why people were bothered about Pio having a girlfriend when their relationship was giving "I'm dating her because I'm lonely not because i actually care" throughout their brief "relationship", and it was even more crystal clear after the ending that he would never end up with her. Like, they're great friends, and that's all, absolutely zero romantic tension, and no deep bonds like the one Pio and Jeongyo have.
You can look at Pio and Jeongyo's relationship as being completely platonic, which is lol, wouldn't be my interpretation, but thinking that there's romance and true love between Pio and Jaein is completely delusional.
You know it's crazy out here when a huge creep AND a liar can continue his career as if nothing happened. His defenders are so nasty they care about an old ass man more than they do about morals.
Si Yeong and Sun Yeong truly are siblings, those greedy asshole father genes are strong. Tae Joo is stupid and emotional, but i still feel bad for him, he lost everything.
Charismatic? he is slimy to the max. Well camouflaged EVIL sociopath/psychopath
Well, i worded it kinda wrong, the actor is charismatic, his acting is always on fire. Believe me when i say that otherwise i hated Si Yeong from the start lol,
