I agree with you. People shouldn't at all bash Ji Won for not wanting to be out, nor even for asking to keep their…
Yes, i also believe that Jeong U is free to come out, to tell the whole world that he's dating a man, but if Jiwon is against it, he cannot tell EVER who exactly is he dating. And i fear that's something that Jeong U is not going to like, considering how proud he is to be with his lover.
This is a very complicated situation. My ex girlfriend and i were like that, and ultimately, it was a cause of a break up. In a world that is not nice to you, love does not conquer all, sadly.
No one deserves to be anyone's secret, but what choice do you have, when your life can be ruined beyond repair?
I've seen people bashing Jiwon for not wanting to out their relationship, and all i have to say is that those…
Just want to remind people that you don't owe anyone your "outing". No matter how much love there is, society is much much scarier when everything is on the line. Your work, your life. Maybe in other places, you're free to be yourself. But it is not safe like that everywhere.
I've seen people bashing Jiwon for not wanting to out their relationship, and all i have to say is that those people clearly do not know what it's like to be a gay person in a highly homophobic country, where if anyone finds out, you're DONE. This is sad, yes, but also realistic.
He's scared for himself, and also for his lover. SK homophobia is no joke, trust me.
I really loved that it had what season 2 of WHC lacked in my eyes: very prominent emotional aspect. You don't see often MLs being portrayed as complex, morally gray characters, especially in dramas of this genre. It had a lot of action scenes, a bit too much in my eyes, but it balanced out with every emotional scene, and every one of them was well done. (One of my favourites was when asshat idk name of said that Eui Gyeom was broken beyond repair just like his player, but at that moment, it already wasn't thanks to his friend. This is a really transparent metaphor but i loved it.)
It is only similar to WHC1 in my eyes in a way that it had strong emotional impact. I would say it's not fair to compare them in any other way.
The comments her own grandmother made about Bong I's "assets", a 19 y.o girls body to a grown ass MAN were distressing…
I fear someone who still goes to school in the first half of the show is gonna be a "girl" on all accounts to me, especially compared to a 25 y.o. man, who understandably looks older than 25.
And believe me, i know how hard parents try to set their children with random ahh people. Doesn't mean that it's right tho, especially if you experienced it yourself.
So i have a little question. A lot of people said that SA scenes are normal for CBL, so i wanted to clarify: Is there any SA scenes between main characters in the novel? I know i cannot account for the scenes that may happen in the drama that didn't happen in the novel, but can anyone spoiler if that's something that potentially may happen?
Because if it is, i would like to drop the show rn without rating it, cause considering that the show already did it once, it will most likely include scenes from the novel too.
I had to put my hand up and I’m like why with all the snake scenes. His father is right, it’s gross and perverted…
Wow, getting a little bit personal here, no? I didn't insult you. What you said was "His father is right, it's gross and perverted", so you agreed with Cheng's father in calling snake keeping a perverted hobby.
People complaining about snakes must be Europeans coz snakes are so common in Asia, Australia and America.
I dunno, I'm European, but i live in a city where Spring-Summer-Autumn season is very humid, so it's pretty common to see small/medium snakes in forest areas, and we even have warnings for them. I'm pretty sure that's just people from full-on industrial cities talking.
I mean I let it slide because it's fiction but it really is plain animal abuse.... Those habitats are really bad…
I mean, most of them are plain CGI, except for the snake that CC parades on his arm. But, yes, it is dangerous for a snake to be outside of its terrarium for so long, especially if the climate outside of it is far from being a desirable one.
But people are not worried that the snake is being harmed. They are worried because the snakes are "scary", so....
I actually love the snakes dunno why a lot of people are being so dramatic about it, but i gotta admit it's a little cheesy. Bro is very emo about them.
Fun fact, snakes cannot experience affection like many other animals can, but they can get familiar with their owner and feel "relaxed" around them, indicating that even though they don't experience affection, they experience trust.
Edit: Yall are really more bothered by snakes than by SA scene... this is....a choice.....

Perverted? Those are just animals tho. How it is different from keeping a lot of dogs or cats? I understand not liking snakes or finding them scary, but saying that something is perverted cause you dislike it is wrong too.
Same lmao. There was a scene, idk which ep, but they were in a life-threatening situation and started talking…
I mean i get it, they're kids, they talk about stuff like that to be less nervous is stressful situations. But i remember it happening like all the time after episode six, which is...a Choice. It's almost like they forgot that they're in a zombie apocalypse, cause they started acting like it's a romance/melodrama.
Fiction has the power to transport us to a less homophobic world through the art of storytelling, and while it…
Preferring happy gay stories is not shameful, no. But saying that this one is bad because it's not like other billions BLs with happy ending should be shameful. And no, I'm not saying that you said or implied something like that, but i wrote the OG comment precisely because there's plenty of people who DID say that.

I added the part about BLs being straight up fetishization, because most BLs are not done to represent gay people, they are cash grabs targeted towards mostly non queer women, that's why they have no representation and that's why i do not consider MOST BLs to be good. I cannot take them seriously, especially when works like this one receive so much criticism.
Sure, there are good ones, but the good ones, the happy go lucky ones, are more often than not are boycotted due to having actual representation.
We should have positive gay stories, yes. But not the ones that are literally afraid to say the word "gay" out loud, but still pretend that they care about anything else besides money.
