If you people still push the narrative "it's good if you just skip *literally half of the show*", stop doing that. To be good, every minute of the show should make you want to chew on your hand in anticipation, make you lock in so hard, you forget to breathe sometimes. Not whatever that was.
So in author’s note she wanted the manhwa to called “A Love Counselor” but changed it to “Heesu in Class…
Right? I saw some girl talking about how most Korean BLs are disappointing, and she would rather watch censored clearly queer stories than something like....that, cause at least the first ones have actual plot and character development. A lot of people jumped her, but honestly, i agree. I would rather watch a plot-heavy show that does not put romance in the centre with a hint of queerness than live through sometimes like HIC2 again.
People need to criticise stuff like this if we want to get something better, instead of closing our eyes and praising it for the bare minimum.
Same thing lol watched WHC2 with my darling and forgot this existed at all. Tells a lot, actually.
Yeah. It was disappointing, but i was prepared for that. Kind of regret now waiting for each episode every week and watching them right away, felt like a waste of time.
Am I the only one who likes this show? This is the reality in Korea. Homosexual couples don't show at all or keep…
Yeah, realistic, sure. But it is adapted from a BL story. If it was an original work, sure, whatever. But why did you adapt a BL story just to make it "realistic"? Bro, if i wanted realism, i could've walked around my city fearing to hold a girl's hand cause they can put us both in jail for that.
Sometimes, you need realistic stories. But not the ones that are adapted from unrealistic ones.
it’s my first time watching a romance genre with this tiny an amount of romance actually in it. i’ve watched…
I really "loved" that they sat at respectful distance from each other after bro-hugging the confession out. I'm way closer physically to my platonic friends than those supposed boyfriends, lol.
I knew it's gonna be a last minute confession. I knew they're gonna show 30 seconds at best of them dating. Still, is it not even slightly disappointing to you that the "side" pair got all of those moments together, starting from the very BEGINNING of the show, when Seungwon and Heesu became kind of friends only halfway through? Is it not disappointing that every misunderstanding easily could've been a confession? Episode 6, episode 8, episode 9? Is last minute resolution really that satisfying to you? Is it not tiring thinking, they're gonna get more emotional moments together maybe next week?
I know my answers. Be honest with yours. That's all.
The show is beautiful. Music, scenery is beautiful. Acting is amazing. It's just the story that tries to do too much and too little at the same time.
Disappointment is a national sport, and oh boy, i am a golden medalist now.
Every time you wish for something good in this show, it turns on you. "The sisters are great plot devices" we get unnecessary scenes with them now too. "Ho Sik and his LI are cuter than CY and JY" same thing. "I wish they fleshed out Chan Yeong and Heesu' friendship more" this a-hole admits that he never EVER paid any attention or asked any questions about Heesu, and turns the blame on Heesu for that. "Bet it's gonna be a last minute confession" Bingo! To the wrong person. "I wish they gave more character growth to Ji Yu and Chan Yeong" now they get hell of a lot meaningless scenes together and separate, eating up sparse main's time.
Man, Heesu and Seungwon must have scoliosis by now, considering how hard they're dragging this show on their backs. Cause there's isn't any point in watching this if not for them and them only. And by now, oh boy, it seems that even this is a very bad decision. One step forward, three steps back.
Watch this. Without any expectations. Not hoping for more. Maybe then, you will be happy. For other people though? This is pure, unfiltered disappointment.
"Are you heterophobes?"Are you heterophobe-phobic? I'm starting to feel the weight of society’s growing hostility…
Do you really think it is unreasonable? Because as I've seen, quite a few people on here tried to act as if "heterophobia" is a real issue, just like OP, and tried to spin the blame onto us for being "heterophobic" . It's straight up disrespectful when the majority of complaints about the quality of the show come from queer people.
"Are you heterophobes?"Are you heterophobe-phobic? I'm starting to feel the weight of society’s growing hostility…
Even online, stupid jokes or dislike of a straight pair will never compare to the discrimination queer people face on daily basis. It's a drop in the ocean. It doesn't make a difference, cause "heterophobia" is nonexistent. No straight person faces actual backlash, online or offline.
Что ты тут забыл бро? Если тебе так хочется посмотреть на гетеро,…
I think being spiteful has its very valid reasons when you spent your whole life being bullied for being yourself to the point of wanting to commit, killed, or being casually oppressed otherwise. Especially in a homophobic country. So excuse us if not all gay people are sunshine and rainbows.
"Are you heterophobes?"Are you heterophobe-phobic? I'm starting to feel the weight of society’s growing hostility…
Honestly, get outside, and see how many straight people are being discriminated by queer people. This is a deeply chronically online argument. "Heterophobia" does not exist in real life, homophobia, however, does.

The part about everyone being gay in the class is funny af cause it can happen and it literally did, in the place that i studied at. There were like 20 girls and one boy, and majority of the girls were sapphic. Granted, it was an art major, and there IS a stereotype floating around about art majors in my country lol.

I dunno, at this point, like i said some time ago, it reeks of casual homophobia. They spin the blame onto the queer folks who are rightfully displeased at the blatant erasure of our stories.
Like sure, it could be worse. Gangster Who Became a Highschooler is an example of it. But why would we put up with that?
