Honestly, speaking from a perspective of a person with an avoidant attachment style, it's very hard to overcome your fears and insecurities, especially if you've been feeding them for eight years. For eight years, you thought that someone you really liked for the first time in your life used you for fun. It builds up such a high wall of doubts around your persona, you wouldn't believe it. You start questioning every little thing.
Was Min Jun right in leaving without asking for an explanation? Perhaps not. But let's be honest here, it's very common among gay people to sleep with each other purely for exploration, especially between men. And Min Jun is young, inexperienced, and very hurt, so from his point of view, that's exactly what happened.
Are you willing to be with such a person and spend an unknown amount of time reassuring them? It's up to an individual. But ultimately, it's a kind of behaviour you can understand when you know where it's coming from, taking into consideration for how long you've been living with this insecure monster inside your head.
Episode 5 reaction, before reading comments:MILD SPOILERS BELOW:I know the feelings of insecurity and angst that…
I would personally agree with you and say that they were incompatible from the beginning. Jin Hwan states that the difference between them makes it fun, but fails to be considerate of those differences. It's the small things, like saying that he would call, and not even sending a text before his phone dies down. I wouldn't say that he's cruel, but he doesn't even notice those small things that Min Jun does.
Sure, relationship like that maybe could function, if you put a lot of work into it. But with a cloudy minded person like Jin Hwan and someone as insecure as Min Jun? Hmm. Jin Hwan says that he's willing to work for it, but so far, he chases only after the fun parts of relationship.
Thank goodness the drama didn’t waste too much time on the joke of a "relationship" between Ba Reum and Bong…
The comments her own grandmother made about Bong I's "assets", a 19 y.o girls body to a grown ass MAN were distressing as hell. Anything else with them feels as equally creepy, even without the context of.... everything.
finally someone speaking facts and not garbage like these other sick people..!!
"I don't support lgbt" are we fr? In the grand 2025? Personally, i discriminate against straight people, so seeing you at the BL page is very distressing to me :/ please leave and never return.
lol if these actors are so worried about their reputation there is no need to do a BL in the first placewe as…
Still don't understand how are people here at fault if apparently the die-hard parasocial ship fans are the ones who made the situation worse. Mind you, it's still considering that situation by itself was already very bad, without the fan's intervention.

Looked up into the ohmnanon scandal and it seems like the problem lies in Ohm being not such a great person overall and Nanon being uncomfortable cause of it. It is an individual choice to forgive the person who screwed up, not sure why you're blaming people in this section tho, personally i hear about them for the first time ever.
Weird take. Korea have ton of good webtoons & webnovels. Why straight-washing a BL story when they have really…
My country used to be not progressive, but it was okay, mediocre. Like China. There's no way you would see LGBT on big screens, but there were shows where you could see homoerotic undertones, topic of homosexuality was talked about in TV shows as a neutral one. Hell, we had lgbt books out in the open, in bookstores, i even bought one! But now? All of it, gone. Criminalised. Put to jail for mouthing the word "gay". Our people thought too that small steps would make it. But don't worry. Continue thinking like that, that nothing will hurt your people if you just keep being timid, and this bright future will be shining for you too.
But after all, you're not queer, just an "ally". This will not impact you, specifically, in any way. Just someone like me.

Do you know that if we don't say anything, those "conservative dinosaurs" (There's as much bigoted young people just as older ones btw), will just push and push on us until we're gone? They're not interested in listening to us. Those people who are, already did. Everyone else doesn't care if it's a "small dose" or a full pledged BL, they will hate on it anyway! And on us. And if we bend under them, nothing will change. In fact, it could only get worse, like in my country, for example: Where every mention of LGBT is criminalised and posed as "propaganda", any lgbt work is censored to nothingness, you can get jailed for a rainbow pin on you blouse, or holding your gfs hand.
So, yeah, continue bending. It can and it will get worse.
What are you "pissed at?" Other people disagreeing with you? "We got to see through his point of view all the…
Yep, sure. We should stick to the "traditional values", right? The same ones that don't protect women for shit in Korea and those not giving af if something bad happens to openly gay people? Those who let korean people be openly racist to foreigners? Cause changing cultural norms is not important at all, it's better if we all stay in the stone age society wise, actually!
Reading this as a closeted lesbian is very humorous ngl. No, this show does not gaf about us. It is, though, being…
Well, you did mention that this show is something of a breakthrough for closeted gay people, It is not my words, yours, The ones in the very beginning, i might add. What did it do for us though? Compels me. But you are hellbent on arguing with people without presenting any actual arguments, so this conversation was a dead end from the beginning.
Slipping on those shipping goggles, it becomes apparent to me that even supposed bromance Kdramas, think "The…
And for those who crave the same but with women, i recommend "Pyramid Game", "Glitch" and "Friendly Rivalry". It has meaningfulness that Hessu tried to show with the one episode sapphic girl but failed. (This bullsh deeply offended me as a lesbian but whatever)
extremely upset by the response to this... so much of it feels actively nonsensical for a show that actually cares…
Reading this as a closeted lesbian is very humorous ngl. No, this show does not gaf about us. It is, though, being actively homophobic. Maybe you should listen to queer people, cause most of us do not complain about lack of kissing. We complain about lack of both emotional and physical (Any platonic touch) closeness between main leads, when the straight pair (any of them, really) have lots and lots of both. Maybe you should re-read carefully, without the bias against dissatisfied viewers getting in the way.
Well fucking said! I grew up in a country where you could go to prison for gay, and I did not whisper my love…
Thank you! It means a lot to me that people are not afraid to speak openly on things that are harmful to our community, instead of closing their eyes and pretending that everything is fine and implying that we should settle for less. We will not get anything better than this if we just sit with our mouths shut lol.
This! Thank you!Not to mention all the people saying things like “they didn’t need to kiss (or have any physical…
Seeing skinship as something dirty/not pure is something that baffles me the most. Not even talking about sex or kissing, although it is very normal too. Hand holding, hugging, hair ruffling, sitting tight to tight. All the ways you could show love as borderline platonic, without all the so called "soft porn". We've been shown straight pair doing all that THE WHOLE SEASON. Why is showing the same for the gay pair is dirty if it's not minimal? To show that "see, gay love is actually pure and divine"? Please, it's pure homophobia. And those people defend it.
Istg at first it was "they'll come around, just wait a bit, it's only the beginning", then it was "it's a slow burn! Wait even longer, it's peak!" now it's "well, at least this is realistic for gay people in Korea!". Naw, but you know what is, though? Love In the Big City. Where the topic of homophobia is one of the main topics. Here, it is BARELY touched, and yet people still use it to defend this show.
I know a thing or two about homophobia and many other societal issues, i live in mf Russia. And seeing people defend this show beacuse "it's realistic"? Please. We DO NOT confess to each other in dark rooms. We do not stay at respectful distance when we are completely alone, and even when we aren't, we still find ways to subtly express ourselves. Characters in LiTBC were way more touchy feely IN PUBLIC, and it's still one of the best portrayals of the homophobic society. And if we're talking about actual realism of the high schoolers, students in high school barely have time for dating, so.
Stop defending bad shows cause you feel spiritual closeness to them or something, it does not make them good.
