I am so mad, they could've made a nice message about people going insane in pursuit of justice, but made it seem that the MC is right in his selfish centrism. He wants to help the guy at the start because he agrees that the exploitation of the tenants is wrong, but then backs off in the last moments when he has proof. He didn't even need Jin Ho to be alive to do something good. And in the end, he doesn't care, cause he got what he wanted anyway.
Okay start, very good middle part, a weak ending. Jin Ho made this movie good lol.
I "love" how everyone mentions the ex boyfriend that was shown like two times but fails to recognise that everything Hyeon San does regarding Gyu Nam is motivated by his feelings too (The existence of which i thought was kinda obvious). The fact that the boyfriend was shown towards the end by itself confirms it, because it was made so you do not confuse the nature of his conflict.
everyone who reviewed this show should put their ages in the reviews because no way this is 8.6 stars? since when…
Omg fr i couldn't even finish it when their first sex scene was borderline SA. I truly cannot see how people think that this is soooo romantic, Chi Cheng is an a-hole, and no matter how bad Suo Wei is, he's nowhere near his level, so "They're toxic4toxic" doesn't cut it either for me. "He'll change!' and then he didn't lmao.
I finished all 8 ep. OMG THIS COULD HAVE BEEN GREAT. but the last 2 episodes are so badly written. Is it a story…
I think he sees potential in him. Withu knows that he has a kind heart and strong beliefs, and when he's set on a goal to achieve, he won't back down. Someone like Nong is hard to find in a world of politics, and that's the exact reason why Withu broke up with his ex lover, too.
I mean, yeah, he's a bit naive and acts out on his emotions. But i think that's how Vee prefers it - someone honest. But besides that, you cannot be a doctor, especially a surgeon, if you are stupid. Being naive and emotional ≠ being stupid.
Agreed! Both strong actresses and love to see them together! we need more women projects where it isn't romance…
I know, right? I don't really like romance, but literally any other genre treats women as man-accessories only. They usually don't even talk to other women, when they aren't rivals or immediate family.
That's why a slight rise of popularity in female centered thrillers in 2025 is a gift to me. Friendly Rivalry, As You Stood By, and now this. There's hope that more is coming too 😛
I NEED them to have the intense dynamic they usually only give to two MLs. It's time we have female centered dramas with strong bonds between women without ro*ance with rando men.
If I see anyone using the “she recommended him” card gonna receive this special clap lmaoshe denied it, he’s…
His ass is getting dragged HARD by korean watchers (At least on twitter tweets bashing him get around 10k likes minimum) soooo. People who see how weird it is and who know how their country actually works are not happy.
So you're telling me that the doctor gutted the wrong person, and the karma, the WHOLE point of this show, didn't get him? It reached everyone BUT him? Because he's "good"? And this is supposed to be seen as a "good" ending? Are you kidding me.
This was interesting and fun, but the fact that the doctor didn't have anyone coming for him for gutting people for money soured this for me. All people are equal, but some are more equal than others, i guess.
Decided to check out LJJs new work and ah.....she looks and acts like his daughter......we REALLY aren't advanced enough to look for an actress of the same age or at least around it huh?
Now that I've finished watching, I'm wondering....what was all the complaining about?
Their relationship pacing couldn't have been more perfect. Vee build a new man from scratch, more confident, well spoken, cautious. Everything he did, he did for Nong. He covered for him, dealt with backstabbers, softened the edges. He took a fall for him. And isn't that love? Believing in someone so much, that you are willing to do anything for their well-being and success, no matter if you end up at the rock bottom?
It's true, they didn't have ocean of explosive conflicts, or crocodile tears. But what they did end up having is much more meaningful and mature than any other modern BL, really. I couldn't have asked for more.
No, the ending is not a happy one, exactly, BUT considering everything that happened, a logical one. No last minute solutions, but there's still hope.
However, if in season 2, for which i hope, SOMEHOW Vee is manipulated into being in relationship with Sun again i will strangle this snake with a coathanger myself.
Anyway.
Relationships aside, the plot by itself was chief's kiss. I don't really like watching politics in shows, cause i have more than enough of it in my life, it still got me sitting at the edge of my chair and biting my nails. Really makes you feel like you're surrounded by backstabbing rats who are way closer to you than you think, when you're trying to fight for the good thing. Amazingly shows you that politicians are not your friends, they only care for themselves, and those who actually care for others? Don't last long.
Man people on this website be giving tens to soap operas without any meaningfulness but gives seven to an interesting political drama cause hurr durr "too little romance". Can't have anything in this house.

That's a strong nine from me.
