Decided to check out LJJs new work and ah.....she looks and acts like his daughter......we REALLY aren't advanced enough to look for an actress of the same age or at least around it huh?
Now that I've finished watching, I'm wondering....what was all the complaining about?
Their relationship pacing couldn't have been more perfect. Vee build a new man from scratch, more confident, well spoken, cautious. Everything he did, he did for Nong. He covered for him, dealt with backstabbers, softened the edges. He took a fall for him. And isn't that love? Believing in someone so much, that you are willing to do anything for their well-being and success, no matter if you end up at the rock bottom?
It's true, they didn't have ocean of explosive conflicts, or crocodile tears. But what they did end up having is much more meaningful and mature than any other modern BL, really. I couldn't have asked for more.
No, the ending is not a happy one, exactly, BUT considering everything that happened, a logical one. No last minute solutions, but there's still hope.
However, if in season 2, for which i hope, SOMEHOW Vee is manipulated into being in relationship with Sun again i will strangle this snake with a coathanger myself.
Anyway.
Relationships aside, the plot by itself was chief's kiss. I don't really like watching politics in shows, cause i have more than enough of it in my life, it still got me sitting at the edge of my chair and biting my nails. Really makes you feel like you're surrounded by backstabbing rats who are way closer to you than you think, when you're trying to fight for the good thing. Amazingly shows you that politicians are not your friends, they only care for themselves, and those who actually care for others? Don't last long.
Man people on this website be giving tens to soap operas without any meaningfulness but gives seven to an interesting political drama cause hurr durr "too little romance". Can't have anything in this house.
People who wish there was romance are genuinely astonishing to me cause wdym....Ena looks like she's his daughter. And as I'm watching I'm only getting the "annoying little sister and tired older brother" vibes.
This show was amazing, captivating and entertaining, but damn, the fact that (Allegedly) mr Shin doesn't contact…
Also loved that there's not a hint of romance. Usually, when a woman and a man are close like that, it turns into a BS romance sideplot. I am really happy that they remained really close friends till the end. Exploring relationships like that is much more important, imo.
This show was amazing, captivating and entertaining, but damn, the fact that (Allegedly) mr Shin doesn't contact his team ever again is baloney. They're first people to actually trust him and respect his work, and the ones who actually liked him as a person, too. And as soon as he started to trust and respect them back, he's gone.
I assumed he would leave at the end, when all work is done, at the first episode. I didn't expect that there wouldn't be even a hint that he keeps in touch with them though. I would love a second season, but man, do i not want a new team. I would miss my darlings too much.
Sigh the serial killer in the second part made it worse. I wish they've given more time and character development to the main characters. Kinda nothing burger cause of that but still enjoyable.
Look at her FACE. Bully written all over it. The villian in The Glory was actually based on her lol.
You people do not give a damn if a man does something similar. Get off her back, she already suffered from more consequences than men in SK who do things way worse than that.
Gosh South Korea needs to learn that not everything needs romance, especially with the way it's almost always badly written, at least in thrillers. The plotline with childhood love doesn't give any substance. The information found from those moments could be found literally any other way.
As a person with same bangs: It eventually does lol and you move it out of your eyes.
Yep, i clean my face quite often cause skin will turn sticky very fast otherwise, and put my hair up in a headband at home most of the time, or brush it to the back/sides. It's very stylish and i like how it looks, but any bangs are hell.

That's a strong nine from me.

Edit: For clarification, i dgaf about the ending, i do not care if it's good or bad. I do care, however, that every character became a cardboard box.
