See, this is a problem i have too. Why do the second leads (are second leads in the first place?) get to be shown off, why are their relationship is present and very prominent, but the MAIN leads feel very....not here? In the background? Why does all their stuff happen in the background?

I wanted to be positive. Very very bad. I did not watch the trailer, but as i can tell, people started to have their doubts back then. And now it just feels like all the doubts are being confirmed.

Everyone told us to wait and see. And so far, i do not like the things I'm seeing, and i have less and less hope with every positive thing i try to dug out.

I think this is the same problem that High School return of a Gangster suffered from. They wanted to make a re-make of a queer story so it would reach a broader audience. And honestly? What a shitty move.

Why, pray tell, do you insist on adapting a queer story, if you're not willing to go all the way? There's plenty of bromance and heterosexual webtoons, so i do not understand the issue. It kinda reeks of homophobia, but what do we expect from South Korea, right? Wrong. The can do good. They did! Love in the Big city was a hit in Korea. And they still do stuff like this?

At least Return of A Gangster didn't push pointless heterosexual romances to anyone and tried to insert subtle hints of tension. They tried. Here, i assume they were too afraid to even try to make the MAIN pair to be the MAIN focus.

Did the positives, here's the negative: Had to stop watching Friendly Rivalry with my gf for the new episode 🥀 never regretted watching an episode at the time of airing more than rn.

I would like to recommend to people who cannot bear the stuff happening right now to wait untill it's fully out. Kinda want to do that too. Cause this is honestly a little disappointing.

My favourite heterosexual romance with the side of BL, had do skip pretty weighty parts of the episode, but atp just business as usual.

Regardless, we are finally moving somewhere! At a turtle pace. Heesu is finally spending time with Seung Won without trying to wingman him. Really like how Seung Won is admitting freely and with confidence how yeah, he likes him, what about it? Just wish he was a bit more assertive, cause god knows Heesu has no interest in him otherwise, being in his own bubble.

Also, LOVE the sisters, how different and opinionated each of them are, and how they feel like real people. A rare sight to see in BLs.

But....those are only positives that came out of this week. They really did just gave two episodes to explore the second pair, huh? Neato.

I believe they will release full album on spotify when the show is finished, cause quite often they put unreleased music in.

I mean, I don't know how it was in your translation, but in mine it was "Who keeps sending these?" These, as in, plural. So i believe he is truly not responsible for them, as of now 🤔

Right? I was wondering why is CY friends with Heesu if 1) He doesn't want to open up to him emotionally like at all 2) Seems to want him around only when he's bored 3) If he has an option, chooses someone else over him.

Like, really, Heesu? You're pining after THIS guy over someone who actually seems to want you around? Smh.

Yeah, no, i believe there still would've been a story if they didn't gave like half of the screentime of this episode to them. They ARE important, but not to that extent. Heesu and Seungwon are still the main characters, not supporting leads.

Through the whole episode, i was like yeah, this scene is important, this one too, this is the last one for them, right? Wrong. And by the end of it, there were barely any time to explore more of the (at least) friendship side to the main MLs relationship.

Sadly when so many people pointed out that second pair being so prominent in the promotional material is shifty no one paid it any mind. I just hope they're gonna give more screen time too Heesu and Seung Won tomorrow :/ this whole "another secret admirer" situation is really interesting.

Annoyed the hell out of me that they gave so little screen time TO THE MAIN PAIR 🙂 compared to the previous two episodes. I feel like i jinxed myself by wishing that they gave more character development to Chan Yeong and Ji Yu. This would've been okay if they didn't sacrifice main MLs scenes by doing this.

I mean, i hope. Nothing happened yet, but we're getting there.

The main queer leads had one meaningful scene in this episode and that's all. This is really unfair.

Here's hope that Heesu will realise that he's treating Seung Won just like Chan Yeong treats him, gets embarrassed, and apologies (←delusional).

Ikr? CY and JY literally ate half of the plot. I thought i was just seeing things, but your comment confirms my doubts. Really annoying, hope it doesn't happens again. Especially with the way CY annoys the hell out of me.

Ji Yu, I'm so sorry, i wasn't familiar with your game. Really like that she truly is an unbothered queen.

However, i really hate Chan Yeong for how he treats Heesu: Like a sunday friend. He's here when he's bored, when he doesn't have his 10th girlfriend of the week, when he doesn't have anything else to do. But the moment he sets his eyes on someone he really likes, he's gone. This kind of behaviour is understandable from Heesu's side, cause as of now, Seung Won is no one to him (doesn't mean that it's not shitty). But from Chan Yeong, to his "best friend"? I really hate this guy more and more with every episode.

Anyhow, who do you think makes those carrot juice posts? Cause i have NO goddamn clue.

Yeah ik, it's just a lot of people start watching it thinking that it's pure BL.
