Actually, Boy Sompob isn' t just a lyricist. He has composed music for numerous BL dramas in the past. He even wrote both music and lyrics AND sang quite a few of them himself. I have to say, it's good to see him performing at the premiere. Hopefully, he's responding well to the treatment.

After Phupha learned the truth about his parentage, for some reason he decided he needed to take his father and fiancee away, which is why they were on the road. They were intercepted by the ninja-wannabes who tried to kill Phupha (again), but his father saved his life and got stabbed (again). Then Tai showed up out of nowhere with Kram and shot one of the assassins. Apparently, they're like zombies. You have to shoot them in the head.

The ep ended with Kram crying over Phupha and Tai have a flashback of him finding Kram's body. Personally, the sequence of events felt off, but on the other hand, they are moving forward with the plot. So I guess in episode 4, we'll find out who survived and who died.

Well, I know they were very ambitious when they announced their lineup in 2023. So far, four (three dramas + 1 movie) have aired, one is currently airing, three are a question mark, one just air another pilot trailer, and one is back to square one because one of the male leads withdrew from the project. While I'm not sure what's happening, I sincerely hope they can complete all of their projects.

He has been cast as one of the male leads in an upcoming BL drama called Iridescent Love.

Um... they're just following the novel lol. Plus, it's reflective of Kram's personality. Once he sets his mind on something, it's hard to change it. So, once he learns that what happened in his world can also happen in world 1, his only goal was to keep Phupha safe. Like I said, they cut out a lot of materials from the novel, which is why parts of the series can be confusing.

The way the novel shaped it, the events are identical in both worlds. However, depending on the choices the people make, the outcome of those events can be different. I guess you could say it's like an interactive game where players make their own choices and it leads to various outcomes?

For example, in world 1, because Kram and Tai got together, Tai gave up his gang life, but then Kram was killed by Tai's father. Whereas in world 2, because Kram got together with Phupha, Kram didn't die, but Tai continued to be a gangster.

Or, in world 1, Kram's father was killed by Tai's father, but his mother is still alive. In world 2, his mother was killed by Tai, but his father is still alive.

And of course, in world 2, Phupha left his fiancee and Kram at the hospital and went to confront his stepfather about his parentage, and was later murdered. In world 1, Kram wasn't there during the assassination attempt, so Phupha stayed at the hospital with his uncle/father and fiancee, and learned about his true parentage through his biological father. That's why he didn't go see his stepfather, and he didn't die.

The novel has pretty detailed explanations on this, but I guess production had to leave those out due to budget and the limited number of episodes. Kram2 was hoping to recreate his romance with Phupha1, but he ended up falling for Tai1. That is one of the sub-plots, but I'm not sure how production is going to present that given we're almost halfway through the series.

That's what I'm confused about. Usually, they would film a pilot trailer to attract potential investers, but The Next Prince was announce around late 2022/early 2023, and it's now 2024, and they've released another pilot trailer. So I'm just wondering if they've run into any problems with the series. It wouldn't be uncommon. I still remember the craziness KinnPorsche ran into while shooting the series.

So last year, they released a pilot teaser trailer, and this year, they released a pilot trailer? Okay... well, I'm not sure why they're dragging this out, but trailer looks good, so hopefully they can get this project underway soon.

I'm confused. Didn't they release a pilot trailer last year? So why are they releasing another one? Or did someone messed up the title?

His acting has improved in this series.

I actually thought he did a good job with the reunion scene. While some may find it weird that he's acting so familiar with his doppelganger's mom, I didn't have a problem with it. They both found comfort in each other's presence as they've both lost someone precious to them. I teared up when doppelganger mom hugged him and then repeated the same words his own mother said in his flashback. Overall, I liked that part.

Acting-wise, Nat is doing much better. Still not consistent, but I see potential in him. Plus, he's only 21, so it'll take time to accumulate experience. I do wish DMD will let him do more challenging roles. He could really benefit from it. Funny thing though, in this series, I see improvement when he's acting with anyone but Max. I'm not sure if it's because right now, their characters are not together and Kram is pining after Phupha, but that's just me.

Gun has been cast in a lead role in an upcoming BL series called Iridescent Love. Not sure when it'll be out, but hopefully, we can see him leading in a drama soon. He's a really good actor.

In the first episode, it's mentioned that Ran is adopted, so technically, she and Phupha have no blood relations.

MaxNat probably won't get closer until later in the series. Right now, one is grieving over his dead lover and trying to keep his doppelganger alive, while the other is also grieving over his dead lover while trying not to fall in love with his doppelganger (and failing miserably).

Not sure what production was thinking, but the whole ninja-wannabe getup felt more comical than horrifying. Either they have really good bullet-proof vests, or it must be something in the water. XD

The composer is Boy Sompob. The first time I listen to 'Too Late,' I didn't get the same vibe as ATOTS since they're singing about different things, but I guess since they both used traditional Thai instruments in their songs, some people may think they sound similar?

There's still no switching worlds. Even though it's similar to what happened in World 2, it's still a flashback in world 1 because Kram wasn't there. That's why Phupha was able to get his uncle to a hospital and save his life, and in the process, learned the truth about his parentage. As a result, he didn't drive off to confront his stepfather and later get himself killed.

Yeah, the editing is not done very well. I actually had to pause several times to figure out what's happening.

OMG this is so cute. Who doesn't love a "when introvert meets extrovert" romance? I hope they'll be able to make this series happen.

I'm sure he cares, though I think it's like you mentioned, old habits die hard. That's why I'm glad that right now, he and Max aren't playing a couple. For some reason, it seems like his acting is consistent as long as it isn't with Max, but when he's with Max, you can tell he's struggling. Character-wise though, I woudl say this role suits him. The whole simple village guy whose life is turned upside when his lover died, and then he accidentally travel (swam) to another universe where everything is different from the life he once knew. While there's still room for improvement, you can tell he's making an effort in the BTS clips.

He played Jamnan, one of the students who protested against wearing school uniforms.

There was no switching worlds. It's just Tai having a flashback of him finding Kram dead years ago when he saw Kram2 and Phupha on the ground. I'm guessing the purpose of that scene was to give viewers some insights as to why Tai is so distant yet helpful to Kram2, but the whole sequence is so rushed that it could be confusing.

I laughed so hard! It's really good to see Pak again. He looks so different from when he starred in The Eclipse. I almost didn't recognize him.
