there's a few aspects of the body switch plot that really take me out of this drama. one, when they have romantic…
The male lead planned this whole body swap. So he was pretty comfortable being a woman, since he planned this for a long time. Presumably 5 years since that incident happened. In fact, when the male lead slipped so easily in a female body, I started suspecting since ep 8, that he was not as bumbling idiot as he pretended to be. I got proven in ep 16. I just want to see how far he is willing to go and does he really hate her. It’s a hate romance. Don’t gauge it from the lens of a body swap romance. He knew what he was getting into. Plus they live together. She might also have given him tips on how to do makeup and nails. Remember ep 9, she asks him to come into the bedroom to be “Kang na Eun”. She may have told him how to dress and what to do.
I think in body swap dramas, the main leads exchanging identities at usual ending up together as I think the most,…
She is very much interested in him. She made him win the contest for underdog team and she has been slowly warming up to him. He has been the one to gaslight and lie to her all along. Which is why I am saying he is a red flag for her. He did not even have empathy when he knows people are trying to kill her. All he care about is revenge. So how can it be love from his end at all. What I am trying to suggest is not my theory but my wish :)
My thoughts, I actually don’t want to have the main couple end up together. The male lead has a deep grudge and the female lead was actually not responsible. Everything was a lie, so I don’t know how writers are going to salvage this and give us a romantic closure. It’s 17 out of 24 episodes in and we have not had many scenes of camaraderie between the leads. At this point, I actually prefer the clingy second lead for the female lead, since he seems to care for her (hope he is not the villain) and knows how prickly she is but still understands her. Understanding is so important between the couple and I personally would never date a person who was with me lying the whole time. It’s a massive red flag. So yes, this is one of those rare dramas where I don’t want a happy ever after for the couple as a romance. I hope So Eun Ho gets closure, since he has been through a lot. And he gets the answers. I also hope the female lead gets rid of the ghost and changes this toxic workplace where everyone hates her, her previous girlfriend, her bosses and her intern too. So maybe a new job would be so much better for her.
I don’t think a scene in which a disapproving grandfather observes his grandson’s supposed girlfriend flirting…
Agreed with your point. But I have watched a lot of Korean dramas to realise alcohol is treated as the bandaid to all problems. So much alcohol is exchanged… I just wish drama authors stopped writing those scenes in. There are so many other ways to write funny scenarios… anyways it’s a pet peeve of mine. So I understand I am biased here.
Again with the drunk alcoholic scenes. When will Koreans stop glorifying drinking alcohol non stop and their shenanigans after drinks. 🤦♀️. I am dropping this drama, suspect it to be full of cliches.
Is this a comedy drama?? The genres mentioned in MDL are quite the opposite.
What do you mean by comedy? In classic Greek sense it means something with a happy ending. Does this have humour yes it does. But there are actually dark themes. It’s more of a thriller with comedy and adult themes. What it’s not is a romance. The leads even after 16 out of 24 episodes have not fallen for each other. There is a lot of workplace stories.
I agree with everything. Only thing is it’s not without remorse and she was not the one who did it but her lady…
“This is why I reasoned ML thinks she’s the cause of the incident from 5 years ago”. 100 💯 agree which is why the male lead both likes her and hates her. It’s evident whenever she asks him if he likes her, he says no. He also lost patience with her during the ghost attack, until she asked him to stay with her. He was also snooping in her room when the ghost attacked him. He purposely kept the lock in his house to zero, so she can go there. I just hope he is not the rabbit guy. But he is also trying to sabotage her just like her best friend. She is responsible for her own predicament for pushing people away when they appear to like her. To be honest, I think her male friend is the only one who likes her unconditionally despite her attitude. But maybe because he knew her from 8 years ago when she way different.

Totally agree with you. Just that I feel that he will realise that she is not as mean as she pretends to be. Right now he is super attracted to her but thinks she is mean and responsible. Remember in ep 3 he was asking are you ok with risking your soul. So there are major conflicted feelings. I also feel that she made the underdog team so that they are not bullied by the other teams since all the three have diverse needs. She helped the underdog team win the project. She also helped the shoe maker get his payments and his shoes too. She also made the sex toy shop set up. But she pushes people away since I think she does not want them to get involved with her and the ghost around her. Something is terribly wrong with her and she is at significant risk
oh wowww so good I wish they will turn into a real couple!!!!😂🔫🤣 then the chemistry is so firing🔥🔥🔥
I don’t know why I don’t like actors to turn into real couple, it’s like breaking the fourth wall. Spoils the magic that a good show weaves for you. Real life is mundane, tedious and can get complicated. Whenever a show or movie had actors turn into real couple, I completely could not watch the show afterwards.
Just watched the BTS of this drama and Lomon shared that EP 4 was his favourite scene. He said that Kim Ji Eun looked extremely pretty in the red dress and he felt great acting next to her. She almost made his heart flutter in that scene.
Kim so hyun is so handsome but none of his dramas I liked including my love from the star. I wish he chose more edgy dramas. Ji Chang Wook does the right balance managing both hype and edgy dramas.
