Yan An was magnificent in Fangs Of Fortune.
I remembered that they were best friends until he got jealous. In the end, he gave up or lost his immortality... but it would return in two hundred or two thousand years... or something???

Yan An was magnificent in Fangs Of Fortune.
I did remember him... but not his face. 😁 I shed a few tears in the end. I think if I had looked up his name, I would have remembered him. It is a short name.

Yan An was magnificent in Fangs Of Fortune.
LOL I was only looking at the ML and the 2nd ML. I have to go back and look for him. Did he sacrifice his life in the end?

This is one of the few dramas where the actor/actress makes me forget that he/she is playing two characters in…
I can't imagine another actress playing the FL character(s). The acting range is wide and extreme.

FOF was one of my favorite dramas. I had no idea Yan An was in it. Was he, the Plague God?

Title Where the Mask Ends Spoiler
After so many failed attempts I except Jundai to give up. Ah Chou as Wei Rao has already established herself as…
1) And now, Jun Dai, who grew up with the name, Wei Rao, is now called Jun Dai, which was her real name, to begin with? Muahahaha!

2) Did Jun Dai know that she was not the real Wei Rao all these years?

3) Meanwhile, AChou does not know that she (...Achou) is the real Wei Rao.

This drama has to be the most convoluted drama plot.

Title Where the Mask Ends Spoiler
This for clarification purposes. After reading the comments below about Jun Dai , Wei Rao and Achou, which confused me, btw, were two babies born to twin brothers, and the legitimate baby Rao was thrown away and renamed poor Achou, while the other baby, named Jun Dai, replaced Rao? By sheer coincidence, the two babies grew up to adulthood, and resembled each other 100%, and the only difference is a shaped eyebrow. LOL

Was Jun Dai, the first to appear in the drama, as the one who slashed the maid's face and cut her own hand? I thought her name was Wei Rao.

The women talked about a dead person and a brother, so I could not figure if there were two men, and who was the father of Rao. Did they marry the same woman? The writing seems lacks cohesion at times, which might be intentional to confuse the viewers, or just bad writing.

LOL Was that makeup done on purpose for the benefit of the viewers? I keep waiting for A Chou to look villainous so we know the evil sister replaced her, but it doesn't happen.

Title Where the Mask Ends Spoiler
Shouldn't the Wei granny and aunties be questioning why Rao and A'Chou are the spitting image of each other? They have to be genetically linked. They should be twins separated at birth. Perhaps they both have the same birthmark. LOL They talk about the dead father and the commonplace mother a lot, and one child. I hope it is established that A'Chou has Wei blood in her. I keep expecting Rao to replace A'Chou at any moment, but her plans keep backfiring, as of episode 8. Rao and Han would make the perfect couple. They have the same evil-minded personality traits. I don't follow the logic in the switcheroo scenes. It is amusing that Rao knows what A'Chou is going to wear at any given moment, and has the same wardrobe. TXW now has three character names, Wei Rao / A Chou | Jun Dai. Is Jun Dai, Rao's fake country cousin alias? Shouldn't people wonder why the cousin looks identical to Rao? Are all these people stupid?

I warmed up to Lu Zhou actor Yan An after six episodes. Tian Xi Wei keeps staring into the camera for dramatic effect. One or two times is enough, but it is constant. That is bad directing. Old Grandma Wei is the nicest drama grandmother I have seen this year. I am confused about the male satellites. Are they all related to Lu Zhou and Wei Rao? They also seem to resemble each other, so it is hard to tell them apart. I just ignore them on screen.

I watched the first three episodes, and keep thinking the two women are twins, separated at birth. What happened to Roa? Did she run away, and will she return?

Title Against the Current Spoiler
I found the scene with the red thread really touching. Well done writers!
Hard to rank the heart-wrenching scenes in the drama! Each actor gave an amazing acting performance.

Examples:

Marquis Yuan's death
Jin Qi's death
Shen ladies' deaths
Old Madam Lin's death
Madam Xu's death
Zhao Xing Tang's death
Lanxiang's death

Please feel free to add to the list.

I would have been waiting on the floor if they had shown Master Xu and Grandpa Lin's deaths.
