Sometimes it gets confusing, and you don't know if it was the dialog or the lyrics. Some subbers used to put the lyrics on top of the screen.

Old Lin kept calling her Sister to sway her. They are two battleaxes (an old term for domineering matriachs). Old Lin can be irritating or pleasant, as the wind blows. LOL

Yuan was bulldozed by his in-law.

Are the old Madams Lin and Yuan, siblings? They resemble each other. Lin keeps calling the other one, Sister. The makeup artist is amazing, They aged ten to fifteen years across the episodes, in front of the camera.

I think boredom starts to set in with writing and directing the amount of episodes. You might also see it in the post production team; the editor and music editor. When you start hearing loud music and seeing choppy editing, they are alleviating their boredom.

The music composer must be a film composer. Sometimes it felt like the music belonged in a movie.

When the dialog and song subs overlapped, I just skipped over it.

A Xie melodrama! Xie Shu and Granny's side story could have its own drama. 😁😁😁

It was written and filmed at 2X speed. Fastest time jumps within a drama!
