I only recently started to watch the drama but my friend already spoiled the ending for me and I personally don't…
It's a good ending because it's a perfectly logical yet extremely sad one. They may make bets or promise to meet again, but with the two planets separated, and them both died in different ways, it's likely the promise was just to make the two of them feel better themselves. Furthermore, such a close friendship/bromance/gay-relationship cannot be passed to show in China. So unless we had episode 40 the way it is, there would not even have the show at all. I expected this yet have been depressed since. There will not be a season 2 from what I know.
the writing of this show is bothering me 1) all they needed to do was test to see if the blood found at the scene…
I think the point was to emphasize "being a bad student means you don't deserve to go to school." They did insist she was the accomplice with no reasons at all. And please tick the Spoiler box.
I haven't seen Circle, Tunnel, Defendant, Chicago Typewriter, Voice, Chief Kim, and Rebal: Thief Who Stole…
@Ktdiva3 Can't say. Depending on which one is more of your cup of tea. Tunnel is kind of like Signal, but the story is more sentimental, and personally I prefer Tunnel much more. Chicago Typewriter is with no precedent, be it the story, the music or even the filming.

@Ktdiva3 Then please try all of them. Tunnel is good, Chicago Typewriter is great. Chief Kim is the funniest if you get through the first 2 eps for background. Defendant has great acting and a strong storyline that trump the cliche overall idea.
@SuperDrama101ohyea Not watching Chief Kim earlier was my regret. You should really give it a try. It gets so much better over time.
I believe there is progress in recent episodes. The problem with this drama is that there are too many groups of power: the real king, Daemok and his people, the queen dowager, the head enuch, and lastly Hwa Geon, who by now earns her place as an individual and not just a part of the Pyunsoo Group. Then, there are other characters with vested interests like Ga Eun and the fake king. All these characters are introduced gradually, with their motives, personalities and connections also slowly portrayed. They are all somehow important, but the ones deemed good-natured know too little and the selfish ones know a lot. It's frustrating because the little knowledge our protagonists have make them seem like losers until now. The protagonists bake a cupcake and all the evil ones take a piece and we are back to square one, or if we're lucky, some crumbs. That's why it feels slow.
The writing would be much better if there is one fewer enemies and one more supportive group. Also, explanations for underlying motives of characters should be given. If we are shown a bit more of Lee Sun the fake king's suffer, like how he is actually torn between saving his own life and causing more pain to the people having to obey Daemok, we would be able to sympathize more with his selfish demand of having Ga Eun. If it's clear that his life is worse than we actually know and Ga Eun is his only console, his character would not be so annoying to watch. Lee Sun the fake king should be shown the way Hwa Geun is portrayed now.
For Ga Eun, it would be so much better if she was a better listener. It's against such a kind and helpful character to be so willing to interupt people's speech. Even if her character is stupidly naive, audience deserves some character development for her.
That's a long rant. But overall I want to say that the story is not bad, but how the story is told can be improved. The actors are doing well portraying what their characters are like according to bad writing. I honestly watch the acting, not the story, for this one.
there is no possible way to redeem Kim Hwa Gun character at this point. she was literally okay for person to get…
That's truly why I hope she'll stop being stupid in the next episode. Her acting is fine, appearance is fine, but character is completely shit at this point.
I'm sorry, didn't Crown Prince Sado die in history? He never became the King... I thought this was a faction, but I'm OK with anything since the casts are my favorite!
