No objections to any of the suggestions, but in the event of scheduling conflicts, I humbly submit these candidates as alternates: Sheldon - Kwak Dong Yeon Howard - Kang Ha Neul Bernadette - Go Ah Ra Amy - So Ju Yeon
Now, if there were to be a Korean version of "Umbrella Academy", THAT would be an interesting show to cast...
Lots of shows here that were falling apart before the ending and I just could not get through so I only considered shows that I finished. Even my second choice, "Crash Landing" was fading through episodes 14 & 15 before a letdown of a reunion in 16.
So do we love Song Kang and that's why "Love Alarm 2" is number 1 or do we hate Song Kang and that's why "Nevertheless" is number 6? I think he usually comes across as borderline catatonic so I'm just a little surprised that there's strong feelings on him in either direction???
DOTS is on an entirely different level from from everything else on this list. It's a show that seems to exist as an experiment to see how bad it would be if Michael Bay was given a talented group of actors but had to create a show without robots or cgi. And the experiment turned out even worse than anyone could have imagined.
"Racket Boys" is a better example of a recent show that is an excellent sports drama. Lots of material on the importance of friendships and teamwork and how investing in preparation and belief in oneself can reward the participant. I agree that there is an audience for sports oriented shows. Perhaps the Disney investments in Korean content will lead to more entries in the genre.
