The timeline changed as Ji Ling changed the past. We don't exactly know what happened in this timeline but apparently no one died.

I don't think we'll find anything as engaging as VoS anytime soon. I'm currently watching Rebirth and will start Perfect Crown soon but expectations will need to be adjusted before I can enjoy them. Also holding out hope for Hidden Shadow, maybe Youko will get the urge to finally drop that drama out of nowhere too 😭.

Oh I'd definitely be lurking here, I don't think I can leave anytime soon. TBH I don't read fanfics cuz it messes with my brain but if you're writing one, I'd definitely give it a try!

Personally, I find the ending more bittersweet than a HE. I'm satisfied with it and it's way more than I was expecting but calling it a happy ending is a little stretch for me.
