They still milking on TXW popularity to promote the drama
This is a female centric drama, and the story is told from the FL's pov so the first trailer mostly focused on TXW's characters. The next trailer (if there's one) will probably feature the romance and/or ML's pov.

Not a dream. Whether they were in an alternate timeline or in the same one is up for interpretation, but they…
I don't really remember the costumes and exact scene, but I think isn't as much a coincidence as it was a foreshadowing of the ending for us viewers. Like it's to show that LWY imagined a normal life, they got a normal life at the end but them having the same costumes is not important or relevant to the story.

I love Zhan Zhao so much for giving Bai Yutang that kite 😭 That man is so precious, like what do you mean on top of everything he was going through, he still thought to do these little things like giving BYT that eagle kite and bringing back sweets for Ming Zhu'er 😭😭

oh it gets so much better in the upcoming episodes. trust me watch it
Indian daily serial style is realπŸ˜‚ And I agree they kind of overused some of the sounds and osts despite the sheer amount of osts that VoS had but personally, I got so used to that one particular bgm by the end that I still randomly look it up to listen to it 😭

I get it and it's a fair point, especially if you look at isolated incidents. But no one has really died in his presence (except his friend ig) and the people he could kill were mostly pawns who are easily replaceable. So even if he did kill some people at the ground level, it doesn't mean he'd be able to protect everyone unless the mastermind is taken out which he could only do by gathering evidence and keeping the witnesses alive.

I'm not saying you are wrong or that his is the absolute right way, I'm just trying to explain where he is coming from.

i don't mind zz's principles, however there are many stops between straight up executing a perp in jianghu and…
You are comparing the principles of an assassin with that of a high-ranking government official. Su Muyu was an outlaw and Blood River operated even outside the rules of Jianghu, much less the government. He could kill anyone he wanted without facing much direct consequences and did in fact kill many people. His strict principles did nothing but provide him with some peace of mind since the cases he refused to take were carried out by Su Changhe and others.

Zhan Zhao is quite the opposite. He is a government official. Even if we ignore the fact that he would be directly held responsible if he killed someone, him personally killing anyone would go against his principles. Making sure everyone is tried in court and judged accordingly is his whole thing. It's not that he doesn't consider the difficulty of the situation but that it's not an excuse to take law into his own hand. What he's doing is trying to gather evidence to take down the whole syndicate and not just a part of it. The moment he starts killing people according to his morals, he'd become just another person in the Jianghu who can only protect people in his immediate reach.

You're right with the prison analogy, he is extremely restricted. He can't kill people even when he really wants to. But they already explained why he doesn't kill when he told the story of Yaksha. No one is above the law and no one person has the right to kill someone based on their own morals.

how was the ending? plan to watch it after A splendid match :D
If you are familiar with GJM dramas, then VoS has the happiest ending among them. Personally, it's somewhere between bittersweet and happy.

If you are interested, you should definitely check this out because overall VoS is really good if you can keep up with it.

Hey, good to see you too! I agree that some people are too quick to judge or refuse to see that different dramas have different focus and every story can't be written in a way that personally suits them. I just try to appreciate whatever I'm watching since most dramas do have their own charm and I enjoy the variety even if I do have my favourites.

I'm on episode 22 now, and the level of patience and maturity Zhan Zhao has when dealing with Bai Yutang (and in general honestly) is so incredible. I'm absolutely loving their dynamic and how different both of their personalities are.

I think the lack of romance (and love triangles thankfully) really helps explore the depth of the bonds between the three leads which I find very refreshing.

Why did Lu wuyi made Ji ling forget about her when they first met?
She thought Ji Ling was just a human at that time while she was a fox demon, so she probably didn't want to leave any traces behind or Ji Ling to try to find her later.

While I do think the word 'haters' gets thrown around a lot, it's undeniable that some haters do exist on MDL. You are not a hater for disliking a drama or an actor or even expressing it, but you are one if you go out of your way to unnecessarily and actively spread hate toward them. The word also includes people who mass down rate dramas they didn't even watch.

Drama ratings have always been subjective, what is a 10/10 to someone, will not be the same for you and vice versa. If someone rated a drama 10/10, it doesn't mean that the drama itself is perfection but that they enjoyed the drama to their maximum level of enjoyment. As such, what dramas you watch and how many you truly enjoyed is totally irrelevant to another watcher. If they liked it for whatever reason, it's a 10/10 for them even if it's 2/10 to you, so there's nothing to be honest or dishonest about it.

Yes, they'll show how CW and WWY knew each other later. CW's character is very layered, so his motives seem to keep changing every time something new is revealed about him, but it eventually makes sense why he did all that.

Having questions is part of the watching experience 😭 But despite the confusion, you're pretty caught up with the events till ep 15 honestly.

Lu Wuyi keeps getting possessed by Jiu Ying from that time inside the illusion (1000 years ago) Here, they'll basically show JY's origin story.

Yes, the one who massacred Wu Shiguang's clan was JY (from that time) who possessed WWY.

You are not supposed to get Li Jie's story yet, they'll explain his relationship with the butterfly demon later. But what's happening there is that the brothers at that time (who were humans from Shilin Sect) disguised themselves as demons to steal the stone to prevent it from being used by WZQ in the war against humans. In the illusion, YWH and LJ will need Tiandi to turn into the stone so that they can use it to get out of the illusion.
