Oh I get that, I'm absolutely loving the comedic aspects of this drama! It's done well and the cast makes it so much better. But honestly, it's not just a silly romcom, there's a serious underlying plot here so it's a little difficult for me to not take anything seriously when the stakes are getting higher.

Don't get me wrong, I'm still enjoying this drama but on ep 6 and I'm honestly kind of dumbfounded. I can't tell which scenes I'm supposed to take seriously and which I'm not, and the background music is NOT helping 😭

The surname of everyone in the Imperial family is Xiao and XX is the young emperor's uncle (father's cousin) so they have the same surname. Watched the first ep, it seems quite fun! I wasn't expecting to see so much of Rui in the first episode, he's so cute aahhh

Still on ep 17 but I gotta say this drama is one of the rare instances of young emperor done right. Xiao Yu seems like a child he is but at the same time, he can hold his ground and you can clearly see that he has the makings of a good emperor.

If this doesn't come out after The Legend of Rosy Clouds, I'll really start crying like just release it already 😭😭
