Yes, that's how main character perspective works and is kind of the point of this drama. We don't even have to…
Dan or Qimin disliking their son is understandable, actively trying to kill them is not, even if it wasn't personal for QM. I found QM's character really interesting but hardly felt much sympathy if I'm being honest. Yes, he was ill-fated but overtime, there is only so much you could blame on fate.
Qimin's main problem was that his traumas and circumstances had made him obsessive, paranoid, violent and cruel. And that is honestly reason enough for Qianqian to not like him. His love and obsession were practically indistinguishable. That is not to say he didn't love her, but he could never see her as her own person.
But then again, if QM was the main character, QQ would've actually loved him and he would've changed. If FCY didn't love XZ back, he would've been lot worse too.
Qianqian's ending also struck me as ironic and not quite happy.

I agree, ignoring him was the best thing Dan could've done for the both of them but I also kind of feel like owing to his own traumas and the person he had become, Dan didn't have much intentions to connect with his son anyway and mostly always saw him as a 2D character.
But again, we don't really know anything much that happened before Wanyin came, so he might've also tried and failed to connect with him at some point.
Honestly, we as viewers also only got to see the son as a 2D character, so it's kind of easy to just gloss over him but from his perspective, literally everything and everyone sucked.
can someone explain about connection between bai he huai and hua jin ?. its yaowanggu just have 2 disciple? sikong…
Yes, the Medicine King had two disciples Sikong Changfeng and Hua Jin. Since Bai Hehuai is the Medicine King's martial senior aunt, Hua Jin would be something like a martial junior granddaughter as she is two generations junior than BHH.
This ML character feels very similar to Qimin from POJ, from being drugged to falling for a transmigrated woman.…
Yes, that's how main character perspective works and is kind of the point of this drama. We don't even have to go as far as PoJ, even here Xiaoho Bo is the original main character but since the drama is not his story, he became the villain while Dan become the protagonist.
Personally, I found the writing of Qimin as a villain very interesting due to the parallels of his backstory with XZ. QM could have easily been 'good', but it was his choices that took him down the extreme path. But the main difference between QM and XHD is that to XHD everyone including his son were 2D characters who didn't matter much but to QM they were very real.
How does it compare to IU's previous works? I have not started watching it yet. But I want to know if I should…
Honestly, it depends on what you like. Compared to WLGYT, Moon lovers or My mister, Perfect Crown does fall short as neither the plot nor the characters have that much depth. I'd say it's a bit similar to Hotel Del Luna but not quite the same level as of yet for me. But if you are looking for something light and fun to watch, it's definitely worth a try!
Almost finished my rewatch. One thought I had when I was watching the first time was - I know LWY is beautiful,…
The problem with the face thingy is Ji Ling's current face is actually Yuan Xizai's face so it wouldn't make sense that Jiu Ying remembered his appearance as Manman but I do love the reincarnation theory.
Why is the FL suddenly so weak???? 🫨. I mean, this is a lady who killed everyone in her way, including the…
Everyone she killed when taking her revenge were humans though. And the super strong higher level guy in question dug his own grave by taking them back 50 years when she was significantly more powerful.
Very random but do we think that Ian's room is Fengshui guy approved? For some weird reason I feel very uncomfortable about the furniture placement, especially the bed being somewhat in the middle of the room 😭
Thank you for writing a proper comprehensive review! I'm still shocked ppl are literally writing about the amount…
I'm glad you liked it. Frankly, a lot of the reviews are honest criticism and it's understandable if they don't like this drama. Not everyone will or have to like it, but some reviews make no sense and are straight up hating which is really sad. And unfortunately, most of the positive reviews got buried under the negative ones.
I totally agree! Rui did such a phenomenal job here, anyone disagreeing on that simply didn't watch the same drama. And the same goes for all the actors honestly, acting-wise I didn't find a single flaw for anyone.
Yeah I agree my head hurts when they were in the illusion diamond
Take a little time and watch carefully, most of the confusion will hopefully be cleared in the following episodes. Feel free to ask if you still have any questions!
Honestly, I’m kind of confused about where the criticism of “bad acting” is even coming from—I feel like…
I have a feeling many people are mistaking some of the intentionally 'exaggerated' expressions for bad acting. It's a romcom so many situations, actions and expressions are exaggerated at times to match the genre, but it doesn't mean that their acting is bad.
