okay so I just listened Ihasa De Sela's music after reading your comment and OMG, it totally kind of matches this drama's vibe! And her voice, oh gosh🤌

They meet each other again after 6 years in the first episode actually, the drama is based in present time(2019) and the past is shown in flashbacks(2012-2013).

My heart breaks for both He Ran and her mum. In any other scenario, her mum's overbearing behaviour would get on my nerve for sure. But in this case, I'm just imagining how hard it must be for her to see her only child suffering and gradually fading away. Like, who wouldn't want to provide her ailing child the maximum comfort and coddle her? Could there be a different way He Ran's mum could take care of her? Of course, but I don't think anyone can blame her for her "helicopter parent" tendencies.

even though Luo Zheng's always had one-dimensional roles, I've always liked his acting. But he has progressed even more in this drama, I think using his real voice instead of dubbed plays a part in it. Also, love the FL. She is neither dumb, nor clumsy, which are usually two pretty common attributes seen in LZ's co-actors lol.
