Hate those 2ML who are always a step too late. you said she was your sister, then you didn't dare talk about her to your parents and insist to marry her. But now that she's married, you're ready to give her a grand wedding ? Give me a break!

He has been like this since the very beginning. But he was sneaky about it.
For example, he told the landowner on purpose that STT had marked the whereabouts of the ginseng. And afterwards when RTZ was bitten by a snake, he didn't show any compassion towards STT and acted as if he had nothing to do with what happened.


He defines himself by his poverty while others are always helping him out. He's really entitled.

Quite surprised the grand father was indeed talking about MM and not STT

Li Quan has always been a jealous piece of sh*t. Being poor is no excuse to be mean. STT gave him a place to stay and didn't even want her room back when she was herself on the streets.

The thing is, evryone idealise being a parent and not many think they'll be bad parents.

In this case, the parents each stressed that MM was different from them. The didn't understand her and thus suppressed her to the point of driving her mad and depressed.

At first I blamed the parents because they seemed really dismissive about MM's situation but this story happens more often in RL than we think. Parents throwing the towel or being too harsh to their wild child.

It's sad for everyone because now that she's dead, there is no way to correct anything.

That's also what I think. Her mother used the term "disgusting habit" which is quite strong and her father seemed to say that MM risked ending up destitute if they let her do what she wanted freely.
We also don't know what was up with the guy she was chatting with.

It's really sad because, indeed, parents don't have a handbook on how to properly raise their child or how to deal with issues that might arise. Her parents ended up oppressing her too much and worsening her mental health.

For me, the grandpa was referring about TT because he gestured slightly toward a direction with his hand.

For all intent and purpose, RTZ is a novice fresh out of school. He didn't even graduate as a psychologist and yet her parents entrusted her to him because it was convenient.

I feel, MM spending time at the Ren at first wasn't a bad idea but staying in state for a year was. The Rens could see the improvement in MM the microcosm of their world as they mostly hang out in the same places with the same people (linked to the TCM world) but her parents thought this was taking too long when they themselves didn't put in any effort to try to heal their daughter.

The thing is, MM staying at the Ren's was supposed to be temporary as her parents were supposed to be part of her healing process. It was because her parents deemed their professional life more important that her stay at the Ren's lasted so long.
Now they remember they have a daughter and try to trust her into a life she's not ready to face.

RTZ's relationship with MM did make me uncomfortable at times but I can understand that the guilt he feels towards as he misdiagnosed is what made him take responsibility of her treatment and then seeing MM's parents dismissive attitude towards their daughter is what might have made him become this protective.

From what we can see in the trailer, ML doesn't seem yo be the culprit who annihilated FL family.

2ML seems fishy to me.
