FL leads a privileged life as the wife of the most prominent family of the city. She has to ensure her husband doesn't have to worry about her shenanigans.

He loves her so much he trusts her but it makes him crazy to think that she's playing him and walking all over this trust.
Another man might have killed her or put her in an asylum. Just imagine a woman doing what she does to Bei Sheng to Warlord Jin or Kang ? They wouldn't like losing face.


SML doesn't deserve the care she wastes on him. He's toxic and doesn't take no for an answer. She told him numerous times that she loves her husband but he keeps doing everything to try and have him killed.

I soo love all those scenes were ML put SML in his place with more words by telling him he wasn't worth the effort.

Yeah but let's not forget to take into account that it isn't taking place in 2022.
The FL bears the reputation of being the DIL of the Wiao family and as such she has to act well and not be embroiled in scandals.
ML loves her and it's why he convinced his father to let her work. It's already a lot especially since she's always getting involved in weird stories worh SML.

She was friend with MZ for 3 years but why can't she see all that the ML did for her and give him the respect he deserves ? SML fled the city and let her fend for herself when she needed him the most. Does she need such a friend ?
