This drama if it didn't involve the "I would die for you romance arc" would have been great! Such a magnetic plot but all went downhill when the "forced" (it did not feel natural at all) romance was shoved in it?! I mean why o why would she fall for her brother's impersonator??? Why?? Yes he had a sad story but so does every other character in this drama for god's sake! I mean romance with the other brother would have felt natural as they both endured in that god forsaken household! But nope it's the drama rule to go against logic when it comes to the male lead. I mean 11 episodes .. cant we have just 11 episodes of a brilliant drama without any love lines????? Is it so hard to show some real neat story where romance is not involved?! I wanted back story on the painter, two mad painters!!! Come on ! The snow man, the children's suffering and their revenge, the meaning of all those tattoos in elaborate details and of course a more fulfilling arc on Hongrang himself the centre of the plot! But nope cheesy romance has to take precedence! I am tired of k-dramas for ruining their brilliant plots for petty snogging and sleeping and love wins all bullshit. So disappointed!

The first 6 episodes I was mooning over this drama! Everything was great. Ready to give 10 star but then the next 6 episodes appeared. I don't know why they dealt such a massive disservice to a great drama with much interesting premises! I really don't know. So much inconsistency and the soup of wisdom being shoved down the audiences' throat whether they like it or not?! I believe most of us likes k drama for it's wisdom, but not like this!!! Come on!! And it seemed like two completely different plot line from the middle part due to the vibe difference! Every trope was over used and over exaggerated with no meaning at all. Just moving in circles. I guess this was the writer's way of saying good or bad life goes on for all, whether you like it or not, from millennium to millennium.... but dude you could have done that a different way! πŸ₯²

I finally finished second season. it was so totally draggy for me and I think it’s for reasons you said. I’m…
It's not about being the main character getting footage time. But all through the drama I felt Jing was neglected almost added as an after thought. The Main characters are the brother and sister no doubt. But the book gave equal importance to Xiao liu and Jing as well. And xiao liu's character was fleshed well and given justice. His inner thoughts his longings and his struggle all was portrayed. Whereas Jing's wasn't. Now in the book as well during the first half as well Jing wasn't fleshed out, but in the later part he did play a significant part. His wisdom, his struggle to help Xiao liu and to get to her those things. I don't get why they completely cut off Jing's role in uniting her with her mother! The sweet and caring part he played there. Then also during the their reunion, a greater part of Jing's story was cut off and he just came and yay, those scenes could have been done more accurately. The part where Jing knowing that the brother has conspired and still forgave should have been highlighted! That was a true portrayal of how great Jing truly was. But they changed entire plot there. For all of these things his character didn't receive justice and it always felt like the heroine was gracing Jing with her company. While it is a mutual case of affection where two people despite options chose each other because they felt like a piece of a puzzle. Yin and yang type. But with the drama it never feels like that. It almost shows jing as rebound and many people were actually irritated about why Xiao lu was crying for Jing". My god and you can't even tell them anything cause they didn't read the book! Most people won't. :( Anyway these are simply my issues with the drama that I felt should have been addressed.
On Lost You Forever Season 2 Aug 9, 2024
Season 2 didn't do justice to the book. Also the character of Tushan Jing was extremely neglected. The entire time Tushan's character was downplayed to give room for the cuan and xiang liu's character. This really didn't sit well with me. The first season still gave tushan Jing some space but in the second half... All his important scenes and significance from the book was cut off! I don't understand why?! 23 episodes and all those cgi's but they still cant give tushan Jing more scenes?? It's really disappointing as the character's and actor's fan. Also the entire scene change where the brother is absolved of the crime! Like y? Unnecessary. The entire revenge thing was a cool focal point in the ending of the book but they turned it into a hypnosis scene and made a not so loved character/ woman take the blame πŸ˜” overall it's a good drama too watch but I am sure no fan of Tushan Jing will say they enjoyed the second part where his parts were greatly buried off. Hence my conclusion is it's a good drama but leaves a very bitter aftertaste for fans of Jing. Ps: a very big shout-out to Deng Wei for portraying Jing so truthfully. It was a pleasure watching you as tushan jing. You simply nailed it!! For me you are tushan Jing and everything good and beautiful and wise in this world. I rarely come across character's that touch my heart. But Tushan Jing did and he will always be a part of my life, and from now on everytime that I will think of Tushan Jing, I will happily remember you Deng Wei!! Thanks for this marvelous work!!

My heart will break to a million pieces if she doesn't end with Tusang Jing in s2. If Jing doesn't get a happy ending then no one does in entire drama land. I have never seen a greener flag walking the world of fiction.
Ps: thank you for revealing the sweet info about the book .. can you pls share link to the story. Does it have complete English translation???

Im Siwan has a real knack for playing potential sociopaths, each time he smiled at the other characters in this…
I totally agree except I said astagfirullah each time he delivered those creepy crazy smiles... This boy .. provides dynamic shivering to his audience.

You know the original one how its ends,so people are here only for fan service and the director aim is to provide…
Exactly just not for asian senses or morality... But it's turning worst for writers trying to input tried and tested methods. It's been a long time since I felt so devastated for the second male lead. I thought I got numb to their mistreatments at this point but nope... This drama proved it can get way worse... R.I.P second male lead God bless their souls (Amen)
On Woori the Virgin Jun 4, 2022
My heart is breaking for Kang Jae right now... And no matter how much woori gives the logic of "it's for his own good/she is sacrificing her great love for his future" just feels like a cheap insult and added salt to injury. No woman you didnt do it for him... Even before the kid came into the picture you mentioned about something being "missing" in your relationship with Kang Jae. That something being your obsession with the guy you kissed on the tour. So yeah I would have had any problems if you bravely blurted that you are confused about your feelings when you broke up... But no... You took the easy way out by acting to be the greater person which you are clearly not. The only greater person here is Kang Jae who despite the circus his life has turned into managed to remain kind (he did report the mistress thing in the end). Urrrgghhh I know this is a drama but the Woori character has really lost its charm for me... Esp with the ending of episode 8...
Everytime now woori and Raphael comes to screen all I can think of is "what about Kang Jae???" And the saddest thing is to see Raphael feeling more sorry towards Kang Jae than Woori... The writers have made her character totally oblivious to Kang Jae after the break up.. it's like she and her grandma doesn't even remember him at all!!!! That's extremely cruel and sad. The only reason Kang Jae is being treated like such is because he ain't the freaking main lead... And I am tired of this age old kdrama trope. At this point I even thought it would have been better if they painted Kang Jae as the villain.. I had so much hope for this drama when they didnt turn KJ's character as a villain earlier, I thought maybe we would get a different ending. But nope you can always trust kdrama writers to walk the age old road of same boring tropes. Ugghhh... Don't wanna watch anymore. But I can't just not watch Kang Jae and his fate. But I swear if they make him end up with the female detective to force his happy ending I will loose it. -_- He deserved a happy ending with woori.

One of those rare dramas where I watched the last 5 episodes raw in just two days. Gonna rewatch it when it’s…
Yep... Went headlong and finished it subbed or not... Man the male lead... Not only is he a visual gem but the guy can act!!! His acting is spectacular to watch... He never even misses micro expressions! πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™πŸ’™
