Interesting that familial ties are portrayed really positively here not only with the good guys, but also the bad guys where you see the bumbling father willing to sacrifice himself, and even within the imperial family, there's the hand peeled chestnuts amidst the usual intrigue and potential backstabbing. Everyone's really quite human and not just one dimensional.
Looking at the previews on tencent I think we're in for a few episodes of separation for the main couple cos she's in the palace and they still keep doing the "near misses" - really stretching that to the max actually. And I must say he shouldn't be surprised he gets stabbed when he doesn't reveal anything about his identity and agrees with her about how bad the Peng Cheng prince is - duhhh.......
Looks like evil adopted sister is getting worse though and will be around for a while - oh well it wouldn't be a Cdrama without an evil sibling or two.

I'm using VPN. If you type in search: "the song of glory iqiyi episode xx" you should see the result come up. also i found that if I clear the cache the iqiyi website will display all the episodes until I try to log in as VIP member....

Same here. The series disappeared from my watch history suddenly and can no longer be accessed. Hope it's a temporary glitch cos viki is much slower in releasing subbed episodes. Have you sent feedback to iqiyi?

So far in the story, Li Ge is taking the place of her best friend, A Nu, who was killed by the villain, Lu Yuan, and so can be considered to be in disguise/an impostor. Li Ge herself believes that A Nu was the lost daughter of the Shen family. However, there’s speculation amongst the audience that Li Ge may actually turn out to be the real lost daughter, mostly due to some comments by the mother as well as the curious and manipulative behaviour of the Shifu, who seems to be the obsessive-bordering-on-loony-with-hidden-agenda type.

Agreed. We all willingly suspend our disbelief anyway else we wouldn't bother watching dramas - so far however this one hasn't made crazy demands to leave logic or common sense behind even if it does have familiar tropes. It does go to great lengths to underline that the FL never gets to see the ML's face clearly even when she's attacking him so it's still within the bounds of what's credible especially in a Cdrama context :) .

Finally a Cdrama where the FL actually knows exactly when she is being tricked or plotted against for eg. by her cliche evil stepsister. Her no-nonsense "Stop playing your stupid little tricks or I will kill you" is so refreshing :). The fight sequences are beautiful and long and the interactions between the ML and FL are great. Having only seen Li Qin previously in plots where she was cast as a victim or physically weak and sick with no marital arts, she is fantastic in this and I hope she gets more roles like these. Hope the screenwriters don't lose the plot halfway through the series as has happened with so many promising dramas.
