This has got to be the drama where ZLH looks his absolute best in every scene...........I am totally glued to the screen - even more so than when he was Xie Wei with that awesome jawline growling 否则/ fǒuzé.........

Yes he is the "bad" guy and put his nephew thru hell - there's a tragic backstory to it. There are bad guys all around in this drama who are morally bankrupt or grey. It's about how power corrupts and how people at the top justify evil by calling it "prioritising the big picture".
Is it only me or is Zhang Linghe even more handsome in this show .. im on ep 6 and till now my jaw just drops…
I was thinking the same. I think it’s also due to good camerawork - the camera just loves him and is showing us all his best angles. Compare and contrast with SOKP, where they actually managed to make him look weird and awful (a crime punishable by death!) in a number of scenes.
BETTER THAN Xie Wei!?!?!? Really?! Wow... I'm still on ep 1, but this comment is upping my expectation big time…
Maybe it's cos so far the angles and shots in this drama are way better. There were so many awkward shots in SOKP, and of course not forgetting the countless times closeups of ZLH and BL were ruined and instead of seeing ZLH's awesome jawline, we were totally blinded by a supernova flare - grrrr
So far so good. ZLH as Xie Zheng looking as good as ever, maybe even better than he did as Xie Wei 💯💯 And what a great no-nonsense, kickass heroine...... Everything looks promising at the moment.
So far really liking it. Very fast-paced, binged it all in one night and looking forward to next eps. It's a role that is so tailor made for BL. Am glad we are not watching her in yet another xianxia drama. Loving her visuals. The jianghu style really suits her and she looks fantastic. So WXY will finally get the girl aka BL and it's only taken him three tries 😂

But overall I thought it was a pretty good and enjoyable yarn. And Neo Hou has really come a long way from his slightly derpy acting salad days.
