Halfway through and the plot and characters haven't gone kablooie or skidded off the rails - if the drama can stay like that till the end, this will be a very good second half of 2023 for cdramaland and SOKP can join the likes of LYF etc

And last but absolutely not least he's got brains too - he was on his way to be an astrophysicist/space engineer (?) when he was talent scouted...............😂😂

Let's not forget that ZLH only made his debut a mere 3 years ago in what is still one of my fave romcom wuxia dramas, Maiden Holmes, and look where he is today 😍. I thought his performance would be secondary to BL's, but he's really showing a side to his acting that hasn't emerged previously. Definitely one to watch closely in the coming years.

And can I mention his amazing jawline again for the 100th time? 😂😂😂

Yes, but since she is now speaking as someone reliving her life, from her perspective she would also be talking about herself in the past life and herself now. Though XW should only be able to understand the first meaning. It really does feel like he has past life memories, but the novel readers say only ZZ has them.

I really wanted XW to turn up and do something nasty to Xue junior after he slapped JXN. Will have to wait till he takes them all down……

He calls her Ning’er cos that is a name of all of her own. Xue is a generational name - all the daughters of the family have that character in their name in that generation. Jiang is the family surname. Only Ning is her very own name and her very own identity.

I'm wondering about that too. The only place where I can think of where she makes reference to a changed self is when they were talking about the past and she asked which is better, the person she was then, or the person she is now............but that's so tenous.
