He called her bro because he thought she didn’t like him amorously. She admitted to liking She’An in the beginning.…
I think it's cos he hasn't admitted it to himself, after all he also refers to her as a bro to his other bros. His mom did say he's never had a relationship before.
GJS is quite an enlightened character where gender equality is concerned 🙂. But still rather clueless when it comes to relationships - seriously, calling LYR your good bro😄?
They're not called sects for nothing. I mean I know the word as used in cdrama (or at least cdrama translation)…
I LOVE Eat, Drink, Man, Woman - esp the sequence where he's preparing the food for the family dinner! It's part of a trilogy by Ang Lee. It starts with Pushing Hands and then The Wedding Banquet - both of which are about Chinese and ABCs coping with living in the US. These films spoke to me a lot cos as a Chinese Malaysian woman educated in the West, my identity has always been challenged on multiple levels, much like the characters in the films. See if you can get hold of these films - they're worth it.

I think Delicious Romance is one of the few dramas to capture life during pandemic. Don’t you find it strange that hardly any dramas touch on this when it had such a huge impact on everyone? The way she found out about the affair was terrible and hilarious. Actually the 3 remind me somewhat of sex and the city characters. But there isn’t really a main narrator here, they all have equal screen time I feel.
Oh I see the Zhao Lusi one is Hidden Love. Modern drama wise I liked her in Dating in the Kitchen, very funny.

Oooh I might check that out too. Looks like everything is still stuck in cdrama land. In a year where there aren't any political high stakes, dun understand why they would mess around with the entertainment world. Altho' sometimes might just be overzealous officials trying to interpret the central government - China has really regressed back all the way to imperial rule.

Rewatching old dramas now, haven't seen any new drama that's really gripping t the moment. Also watching kdrama Delightfully Deceitful. What about you?

Youku released all the final eps as an express package - about 2 USD..........got suckered into giving Youku more money and watched them all - very satisfying ending. Despite all its corniness and sometimes silly bits it all comes together surprisingly well. This will go onto my rewatch list.........
Youku should really send us international fans some baozi (or baozi replicas)😄. ZY sent her fans baozi earlier when the series started taking off............
