Well so many xianxias end like that - just giving you one scene of the couple together. LBFAD just had DW/DFQC also just coming back right? So actually this ending is very much in line and it made for a beautiful closing shot. Just be glad it wasn't one of those stupid open endings. Perhaps as ZY and NH may not be as fully booked as other major stars - they'll be able to get them back to film some short epilogues. Youku will probably make that decision after it sees how strong the express sales are 😄

I think he's basically indestructible because he represents all the darkness in humanity. So even though they destroyed his body, he is able to return as long as there is greed, resentment etc. Plus he's been sucking energy from a lot of people for some time.
It's not a foolproof idea lah and best not to take the drama's philosophical mishmash too seriously. There is an effort to point out that good and evil do boil down to choices made.

They've done it before for other series notably Word of Honor. Probably happens when the series is more popular than they expected. Not sure if they did it before WOH cos back then their app was only catering to Chinese-speaking audiences.

Cool - I was going to wait till Monday to watch everything all at once without the agonising weekend wait............they did it this with Word of Honor - possibly the first time then cos Youku never really cared about international audiences before.
