No problem with your opinion as to each their own. Based on my interpretation .ML is supposed to be a naive socially…
Yes I think NH has definitely improved compared to when he was in A Girl Like Me. He was always eye candy but I think he will now become memorable eye candy. It helps that ZY is the other half and the 2 of them are just so good together.
I don't know why Netflix doesn't pick up Chinese dramas with the way they do it with kdrama.
The Hallyu wave is much stronger and very established. And unlike kdramas which are quite compact - mostly sticking to 12-16 eps, cdramas can go on and on and then lose the plot…….Netflix is also investing millions and millions in producing their own kdramas.
In ep 1, does YH’s spiritual energy (from the heart scale??) awaken cos of Ling Fei’s attack and does TY awaken…
Most likely to the first part. Not sure if it awakened TY’s soul - it’s unclear if TY’s soul had just escaped in the adaptation. In the novel, his soul had already escaped 10 years earlier.
YH’s master seems like a very shady character. I’d like to believe YH when she vouched for him but he knows…
I think he’s being very upfront with her now, and is probably already in love with her without realising it cos of his SY PTSD. It would have started when he thought he was definitely going to die when the Shrek lookalike attacked him and she came back to save him.
It makes her less one dimensional and contrary to how she is now, she did not start out crazy obsessive over him.
If memory serves, they are both orphans in the novel, and SY had to work hard to get into her sect, provide for her sister etc etc. Of course this doesn’t mean they have carte blanche to be assholes. YH also grew up without parents and she’s completely sane.
