I think he’ll rework some of his concepts from his previous work. He always does that. It would take too much space to list them all, from YYM to VoS, but you can usually find some scenes that are structurally similar, tho he changes the details, like adding extra shots, changing positioning, etc.

But one scene strangely finds its place almost everywhere...the one with wirework where a character gets pulled in through a door for a sudden door entrance effect. 😆It’s like a two second scene... but it's a fun game to spot them.. lol...

I think here he might rework some VoS scenes. He was pretty innovative with the fight scenes there and some of the shots were really cool. I already have a few scenes in mind that I think he might rework in BYP. It also depends on what kind of weapons they use....If there’s room for him to work with mechanical/automated weapons like some hunters had in VoS he might happily revisit some of his old ideas😂

Nice, it's been removed then. If it's too subtle, like in the og there will be fewer ppl rating it low cause the tag told them to expect one... Idk what they actually plan cause that part of the story waits for the final arc, and is yet to be written..

MDL is an intl database...so they should just choose their own way to achieve the same neutrality. Most ppl can’t read or reliably count Chinese character strokes or search the database by using them. Mdl already uses romanized names for search for a good reason..so using alphabetical order makes perfect sense for an intl audience...🫩🤷‍♀️

Based on the book, they are the main protagonists...since this is the book adaptation they might accept all 3 as the mains ..

It solved the lining btw the names within the same category. If two or more are Main Starring.. their names will be lined based on the count of strokes....so if all 3 were here Main ⭐️, idk how the order would look like, cause i can't count the strokes 🙃Many dramas before the new rule started to have equal billing and no specific order, so the changes were already there, but it was up to production team...then the new rule now says you can't choose the order, from now it's number of strokes for the same category...
Ofc which actors shall be put within the same category will still be the cause of arguing. The other problem is MDL. They'll have to adjust to the new rule, but even until now...they haven't had the "special male lead" category nd solved on a case by case basis when to put them in the main and when to support. I would put them automatically into the main, no discussion allowed, 🙂cause that's what they practically are...the same with Special starring now...

They were so strange and unclear… like they were made up just to fuel fandom wars. 😭😆 Even the articles were basically saying that a “special lead” is one of the main char, just with a bit less screen time/importance than a traditional lead, but def more than a support.
Basically, the made up category to message to the fandom like,,,don’t worry, we’ve secured your bias will still get the brand deals first, while the special leads will be next in line..😂
Special guest appearance was mostly for more established names, but basically meant to say... don’t expect to see them much, just be happy with whatever we serve you..
Now they seem to have 1. Main Starring 2. Special Starring 3. Starring/Appearance...but again... all pretty unclear to me.
Can’t tell if Main ⭐️ now simply means equal/first billed leads, and what about what used to be the 2nd main lead? Do they get to be Main ⭐️ or Special Starring ⭐️? Or is Special ⭐️ basically what Special Lead used to be...just a bit less screen time/importance? Or is special ⭐️ what guests used to be, those with a special invitation..lol..
Ofc, the 3rd category, Starring/Appearance, seems to be reserved for the traditional support roles, but it leaves the question of where did the guests went, those with and without special invitations, did they vanish for good?

Yeah, I saw it and was positively surprised...and it had only his name. His char's name is changed probably due to some major changes of his character in the book, but this is due to those script leaks (or parts of it) that now seem more believable..

Oooooh, with that one, I was making the changes so i know...cause, in the first submission....whoever was doing it made "the special" a guest role so he was listed as such at first.

But it was a pain in the @ss to basically submit a PhD to mdl explaining what's special about these special titles and they accepted the changes to move him in support. I even backed it up with some Chinese articles I found explaining these special titles.

But here I believe there's room for putting both Rui and the girl into main roles... like with Yanan... who's now also listed in VOS as the main, tho he was also "special". Think it might work here too and to back it with the book synopsis and protagonists.

Btw, i thought that the new rules deleted these special titles..so i got confused seeing it again ...

It would be nice to know...and there are some details to work on. It would be better to discuss it in dms .... to avoid repeating the ABJ submission...cause it's's harder to make changes later..
