Even though I’m clearly more similar to HRY and better understand how she perceives right and wrong, I too swing between the two points of view. Because even here in the comments, we tend to forget that they are Gods, born immortal. As such, it is more than normal not to understand or know what drives human beings, ending up basing themselves only on what their perception of reality and right is. The rare and strange gem is precisely HRY who, despite being a Goddess, opens herself to what it means to truly see and not just observe, to listen and not just hear what it means to be and live as a mortal being. I do not believe in fate, which is why I will always be on the side of those who fight to change and improve it, but I don’t feel like accusing BJS of having a cold heart toward mortals, precisely because he is what he is. A deity who, even in his descent into the mortal world, does not become part of that crowd of souls who fight every day to survive, to hope, and to be happy.
I also understand HRY’s blind pursuit of vengeance, and I don’t think that excludes the love she has for BJS. These are two equally powerful feelings, but for a mother who loses her child, reason and rationality become very distant elements—there is no room for forgiveness when there is a loss of this kind. Later she may understand and forgive, perhaps both herself and BJS, but for now what drives her is only the blind need to make suffer the one who, in her view, could have saved their child. As another person said in the comments, they are Yin and Yang. They cannot exist without each other, but on the other hand, it’s not easy to keep them close either. Love is not always enough. Life is not always fair. Heaven is not always right. What may be right for someone can mean injustice for someone else. A perfect example is the conversation between BJS and HRY about the Drought Dragon.
However this drama ends, the journey up to this point has been fantastic. In my opinion, it started terribly, with elements that felt like pantomime or parody, but it only kept getting better and better, to the point of making fans discuss truly important topics worth reflecting on. I’m so glad I didn’t give up!
Guys do yall have any dramas to recommend with similar genre like feud and moonlight mystique ?I’ve watched…
i'd like to recommend some me too! 1) Ashes of Love is HE xianxia and for me it's my fav c-drama xianxia, true it's long but you will not feel it. 2) Immortal Samsara HE with a lot of angst and a really beautiful visual and ost 3) Ancient Love Poetry with a wonderful Xu Kai xianxia with HE 4) Love and Redemption xianxia HE with Steamy Kiss and my talented baby Cheng YI 5) Love You Seven Times so underrated!
not properly a xianxia but i can't skip The Untamed. If you are for romantic/dramatic/mistic stuff!
i'm sorry guys but i have to see this one before or after TBOY? cuz some of you say it's a prequel some other it's only related? And another silly question, there is some bromance in this drama like bromance bromance and not only brotherhood? I know the censorship is always working but sometimes they let it go a bit? Thank you!
this drama is unique and really beautiful. Everything impressed me, the photography, the acting, the color and music choices, the true and realistic story, the incredible chemistry between the protagonists. I want to thank all the crew who worked so hard to bring us this gem. I recommend anyone to watch it, it's worth it and it will leave something inside.
