If we're talking about sustainability and environmental impact, I'm completely on your side. I share your concern and your dismay at how little consideration is given to the health of those who passively and inevitably bear the consequences of decisions made by people who have the power and the money to make them.
But if you had read my post carefully, you would have noticed that I was talking exclusively about the creative aspect. And I'm sorry to tell you this, but throughout the entire history of humanity, only a very small number of people who have lived on this planet have actually created something truly new. Everyone else applies their own vision while consciously or unconsciously taking something that was created by others before them. Simply modifying it doesn't make it an authentic invention. Most human creativity consists of reinterpreting, combining, and transforming pre-existing elements.
Furthermore, leaving even that aspect aside, I stand by what I said: criticizing the infinitesimal use of AI-generated images is ridiculous and childish, especially when the very same people doing it then use ChatGPT, Claude, or any other platform on a daily basis that uses artificial intelligence, more or less directly.
Intellectual honesty is a beautiful thing, but in this case it doesn't seem particularly realistic, because those pointing the finger only see their own finger and fail to see the bigger picture.
Honestly, I can't understand all this hostility and criticism surrounding the use of AI.
Before AI, there was CGI. Sometimes artistic devices were used, such as manga panels or drawings as filler to help explain the story; other times, cartoon segments were inserted. Yet now you're all here saying that the fact that AI was used for the opening sequence or for a handful of frames makes you hate the drama, and therefore the whole drama must be garbage.
There are real actors who poured their time, effort, and talent into making this. There's a story that holds up, and there's the hard work of the entire production team that went into filming, editing, and producing the drama...
So what's with this need to ask, "Is there AI involved?" in such a disgusted tone? Seriously, the hypocrisy is unreal, guys!
Just enjoy the drama if you like it, or go watch something else. Making such a huge fuss about it is genuinely tedious and annoying from my perspective, not to mention pointless and childish.
