Netflix Season 2 : NEVER EXPECT MUCH
Weak Hero Class 2 disappoints with a narrative that struggles to find its footing.
The story feels dull, weighed down by excessive flashbacks to Season 1 that disrupt momentum rather than enhance depth. New plot lines lack urgency, particularly the contrived "accident misinformation" arc (Typical Netflix style ), which feels forced and poorly executed. Si Eun’s strategic brilliance, once a highlight, feels sidelined as fights devolve into generic brawls without his trademark cunning. (He is always ready to stab like crazy idiot)
Additionally, the protagonist’s mother is reduced to an irritating, superficial figure, adding little beyond unnecessary melodrama. While the season retains very little good fight sequences, these moments can’t salvage the lackluster pacing or underdeveloped conflicts. A few emotional beats, particularly around guilt and loss, offer fleeting resonance, but the overall experience pales in comparison to the tightly woven tension of its predecessor.
Fans may stay for the action, but the magic of Season 1 is sorely missed.
