I put this off for many years due to all the plagiarism allegations. Watched it finally and the movie was fantastic but clearly plagiarized two novels from one of my favourite Japanese authors Keigo Higashino 'Journey under the Midnight Sun' and another one 'Devotion of Suspect X'. I wish he was given credit.

The female lead never hooks up with the 2ML. That comment is just an assumption. there are tons of j-dramas where there are no love triangles and the leads are fiercely loyal to each other. Try giving the cable dramas a try, rather than the cringey shoujo manga cringe adaptations made for teens.
What an amazing finale. This drama was perfect from the start till the end. Hats off to the entire cast and crew for this. I couldn't be anymore happier giving this the 10 it deserves. Wakaba Ryuya and Sugisaki Hana have found a fan in me. Off to find more works of everyone involved in this gem.

I agree. Her standing there alone broke me. Miyabi is such a gentle soul you dont want anyone to hurt her. but to think she goes through so much hurt everyday and yet she goes on.. her resilience is very inspiring for me. Watching her made me very thankful that I can remember the people I love and made me realize how much I neglect the presence of people I see everyday. I called up my daughter after the episode to tell her that I love her. I have also convinced her to watch Unmet. I have no idea how this is going to end but I hope its not too sad. Sanpei and Miyabi need to end up together.
