GIRLLLL you always make so much sense how are yu? I dropped it for the same reasons. I really wanted to like it but then the characters are written so surface level. Nothing new in the love story, same old wine packaged in a bottle that looks new.
i wanted to ask you do you remember the name of this jdrama with this otaku character stuck in her room for very long and then some famous manga artist draws her out? its also mystery and romance.. like a very recent drama i think. I wanted to rewatch it but i forgot the name
Wow this was so underwhelming Writer did not even bother exploring what ASPD is about. No growth or development for any of the characters. One note from start till the end. And the amount of plotholes gosh.
2FL and 2ML keep pushing themselves into people who are not interested in them. FL is a dimwit and ML is a doormat letting himself being used by the FL and his family Dropping this. Not for me.
i find it amazing how in this day and age, there is not a single pic of them together other than the photoshoot or the video showing them walk down the street last year how do they maintain the privacy lol really curious why they never ever post about each other when they post their friends on SNS anyway congrats to them!

i googled about the screenwriter too!I wish the interview was longer because i wanted them to discuss so many more dialogues that were so sensitive. but at least she picked 1 for almost each character. No wonder the dialogues and parallels showed a sense of psychology (and understanding parenting, developmental issues) because they had a psychologist on board! I ended up watching all the behind-the-scenes of the drama too which was chaotic. i didn't expect james to be so matalada-coded in real life. this drama set the standard so high that other dramas seem so mediocre in comparison.. so hard to find such a feel-good drama with a combination of romance, family bonding. comedy and psychological issues. i think ill rewatch this instead and hope we can get something similar some day.

what you are saying might be valid but it does not take away from the fact that it is problematic. There's a reason why child marriages are slowly being abolished by the law in various countries because it is a crime against children. They deserve to be a child when they are young and to have their freedom and their own life.
Back to this case he didn't marry her.. he dumped her when she came of age. I am not saying that he dated her with the intention to dump her when she became an adult but it does make it sketchy. You have to look at the picture holistically. Your comment is very generic. Also this was more than just a normal relationship of 2 people dating. He was also in a position of financial power over her which he took advantage of. Not just that he denied any association with her twice - one when she was alive and one after she died. If it was indeed a normal relationship there was no need to deny time and time again. There are clearly sketchy things involved which he wanted to hide.
Re: her family - again you might be right. But we do not know the family dynamics. It is unfair to assume they knew it all or they were supportive of her relationship. Teenagers have their own mind. Let's say they knew and choose to do nothing about it, they hold part of the blame. But still that does not take away kim soo hyun's responsibility.
