So far, I think it's a good drama, nothing ground breaking and not my favourite wuxia at all but it's enjoyable to watch

i guess we have different opinions then 😅 because i think he does better in roles where he has to express himself and show emotions. Also I don't think his role as Wen Kexing and Rise with the Wind were that subtle, he was flirty and expressive enough, way more than his role in Blood River which is why i mentioned Wen Kexing and RWTW in my previous comment as one of his better roles

I love Gong Jun but he suits roles like Wen Kexing (WoH) Rise with the Wind and Fox Spirit wayyyyyyyy more than the cold male lead types like his character in Legend of Anle or Blood River. He's a good actor but he just shines more in roles where he has to express himself not roles where he has to act emotionless.

Gong Jun brings in a lot of sponsors and a hugeeeeeeeeeeee number of viewers. His position in the industry is very strong and he's at a point where whether he acts well or not doesn't matter anymore. I do think he's a hard worker but he shines more in roles like the ones in Word of Honour, Rise with the Wind or Fox Spirit match maker.

SCH is the one who orchestrated everything so it makes sense that he's happy everything is going according to his plan

Can we take a moment to appreciate how attractive Chang Huasen is here? Not just his looks but his aura, the way he expresses his character, everything makes him soooooooooo attractive to me 🤭🤭🤭

I love Gong Jun but the ml is boring. Su Changhe is so much more fun to watch and his motivations make so much more sense to me

the drama is VERY different from the novel. almost nothing is the same so it's hard to tell

Chang Huasen finally getting a decent ml role with a decent amount of screen time😭. His character in Moonlight Mystique didn't do him justice.

his character was badly written and his actions make absolutely no sense. The king said he was working as a double agent for him but the king himself didnt know??? WHAT does that mean😭
