Went from one of the best 2025 dramas to an average drama
The drama started out great and it was interesting to watch an absolutely irredeemable character who was evil and selfish to the core. I know some people think a lot of what she did can be justified but I don't believe that harming good and kind hearted people who cared for you and driving those people to death just so that you can get more famous is justifiable. It's not. No matter what anyone says, Ahjin was always written to be a selfish character. And in the original manhwa she was even worse. I still prefer the manhwa over the drama because not only does the drama deviate from the original story and make a lot of plot points and characters inconsistent, it also absolutely DOES NOT MAKE ANY SENSE in the end. The ending in the manhwa was also darker but sort of satisfying too since Ahjin gets her kamra but the ending in the drama makes no sense in any way. Ahjin also suddenly stops using her brains in the last 2 episodes which is so out of character for her. Overall, it was a good start but a bad finishWas this review helpful to you?
I didn't think I'd need my tissues papers for this drama but oh well.....
The first 12 episodes had quite a few flaws but everything after that was chef's kiss! The fight scenes, the acting and more importantly the story got soooooooooooooooooo much better!!! I really really enjoyed it until the last two episodes which made me bawl my eyes outðŸ˜. But those two episodes were done so beautifully! I would've given it a 9 but the sad ending just upset me too much so it's an 8 for now.Was this review helpful to you?
There wasn't a single episode where I didn't cry
This is the most heart breaking yet heart warming drama I've ever seen ðŸ˜. There wasn't a single episode where I didn't cry. It was so beautifully done! It has it's flaws like any other drama but the theme of this drama is very unique and beautiful and was well executed! I really really really really really really really really really really really really enjoyed this!!!!!!!!!Was this review helpful to you?
Started off as a banger but fizzled half way through
The first 20 episodes were chef's kiss but as soon as the fox arc began everything went downhill. The plot focused more on the side characters and the main leads started doing cameo scenes in their own drama!!!😤 This was so disappointing! Cheng Yi and Li Yitong did a fantastic job! All the other actors did great too. A shame because this drama had the potential of being the best drama of 2025 but they dropped the ball midwayWas this review helpful to you?
Started out great but they probably ran out of budget by the end
I was avoiding watching this drama because I didn't think I'd like it but I was wrong! I binged it in a day because I loved it so much! If you like cute rom-com slice of life dramas this is perfect! All the characters are so well written and their relationship with each other is so well fleshed out! It definitely has its flaws and it gets more evident during the last 2 episodes. I wish they added 2 or 3 more episodes at least because the last episodes felt so rushed! It's like all the problems got magically solved and that ruined the drama for me (just a little though). Was this review helpful to you?
Everything here is just plain bad
Not only do they straight up copy a religious text and twist it to fit their story, they didn't even do proper research on the mental health aspect of the drama! I love Suzy but her character here is a badly written Ko Munyeoung from it's ok to not be ok. The story itself is like they tried to recreate Goblin (probably because it's by the same writer) but failed. Overall this drama is BAD and super disrespectfulWas this review helpful to you?
