Also when FL is kidnapped with her wrists tied in front of her and blindfolded, she is completely helpless. It's too much of task to pull off the blindfold and look outside the car. But when she is sitting on a chair, in an inhabited house, blindfolded, her hands tied behind her back and a bomb around her neck, she is in the zone.. she can move around, find a sharp edge, cut herself loose, disarm the bomb and go and rescue the ML... Bravo
Started out well and had promise but flat lined quickly. After the initial setup, the characters didn't develop. The plot of solving different cases to gain clues stopped after the first few eps and the overarching case didn't have enough to retain my curiosity. This is combined with the comedy, personally, having more misses than hits. Great cast but unfortunate execution. 6/10
Genre: Slice of life For those who are debating to watch this, but can't decide: This story depicts the lives of four main characters. It shows how incidences in the past and the choices they made have moulded them into what they are today. It's a journey of how they face their joys, sorrows, and regrets. If you are looking for a rom-com with an exciting storyline, this might not be for you. It requires a more mature and patient approach to realise that beauty can be found in a mundane life. There aren't any fantastical reasons for certain events to occur. It is what it is. There might be certain aspects of each character that you might relate to. The direction and editing are done well. They gave scenes enough time for the actors to portray their characters. Unlike typical rom-coms, they didn't explicitly show certain moments but gave glimpses and trusted the audience to understand what had happened. 8.5/10 Hope this helps.
It was an amazing show.... For those still debating... Watch it . Fyi there is a lot more after the series ends.(Specials,movie). Make sure you watch it in the right order
The first episode was nice but 8 eps in, the characters seem to be all fluff and no substance. Other than a few business schemes that started and ended quickly, there is no new info on the characters at all. The dialogs already feel reused and there is a certain synergy lacking when the supporting cast are in scenes. 50 episodes seems impossible at this juncture.
Did the writers change for the second half? The first 20-25 episodes were great. The chemistry was good. It was…
I really hoped that they would have a conversation on his trauma. but her finding out from her best friend and not through him felt like a shortcut in the writing. It was an important moment that would have solidified their characters but it was mentioned slightly casually in the car.... Also when they put on the act of the wife getting kidnapped at gunpoint with him not able to do anything, especially when this event is very similar to what traumatized him in the first place leading to PTSD, just to get him to confess his feelings and then singing happy birthday to that poor soul was appalling.
Did the writers change for the second half? The first 20-25 episodes were great. The chemistry was good. It was typical stuff in a one-sided arranged marriage, but it was entertaining. The suspense of who was behind everything grasped your attention. The bad guys knew everyone and everything, creating such "coincidences" that you suspected they held the book of destiny. And then there is the second half, with so many gaps in the story. Sometimes, you feel you missed a scene because certain events haven't taken place that move the story forward. The romance stories go off track with major things done off-screen and referenced later. The ending was abrupt. They didn't even discuss the main Lion's secret—that one secret that would have tied the story and brought it full circle. They just showed us glimpses, and the viewers need to assume that she remembered everything.
Can you give me a spoiler? Why does the father abandon them? And how does he get the money?
He takes a loan but gets scammed and loses everything.... Debt collectors trash the restaurant in order to collect the loan and interest... So he follows the scammer to Thailand in order to get his money back and try and make things right with his family and the restaurant...... A rich lady is also tracking down the scammer and rewards the ML for catching him. That's how he gets rich
But when she is sitting on a chair, in an inhabited house, blindfolded, her hands tied behind her back and a bomb around her neck, she is in the zone.. she can move around, find a sharp edge, cut herself loose, disarm the bomb and go and rescue the ML... Bravo
It has all the episodes subbed
