Avenue x review of the drama & this historical video was informative and makes me appreciate the drama even more.

A solid & engaging season 2 that even exceeded s1 which is such a rarity especially in Cdrama land. The team dynamics is such a joy to watch n they work so well to complement each other.

N the tongue relic but i am unsure if the translation are correct as far as i know usually tooth relic existed. Hope someone can help to explain. Interested to learn about all the mythical beast that appears in the drama

Kudos to the producer of this show. Each cases special guests really match the characters. For eg the blacksmith Mu casting a buff tough n tan looking actor fits the bill perfectly. Most of the time dramas may forgo these little details. Liking S2 so much more

Even the first case the painting of Mara Battle with Buddha, Buddha eyes were indeed closed position in most existing paintings . Though fictional but the creators of the dramas creatively n intelligently added these real historical details

The funny banter with fake sheriff makes me laugh despite the seriousness of the case

That would be too far a stretch especially on the brother part. The cases just getting better.

The double crossing n double identity for the 3rd case was quite insane and certainly fun. Despite the seriousness of the case they still managed much humour. From the start i knew all at the inn were suspicious but some of the reveals were still surprising.

Considering that Pei Xi Jun father used to be a high ranking minister i felt she has the most moolah to spend n share with the rest 😂😂

He showed his care in subtle ways while Pei Xijun is more open n i find that endearing. Its befitting of this drama that the romance is subtle n not overshadowing the cases

It is line with Lu Ling Feng character he is more aloof & distant. I believe that he wont show much affection to the girl he likes.

There were hints in s1 that LLF is the princess long lost son. In s1 LLF kind of knows but pretends to not know n ignoring it.

Both main n supporting cast did a good job in s1 & in s2 they are even more splendid. Hope the momentum continues on

Having a drama with no idol actors can be pleasing to the eyes as the actors felt more real to their characters. Imagine getting skinny pale face idol actor as Lu Ling Feng or a super good looking actor as Su Wu Ming surely felt out of place . Just my opinion.
