I passed this show several times before deciding to watch it, and I am very much happy with that decision. Ritsu and Fumiya are adorable, and just like others, there are ups and downs in a relationship. Like their neighbor said, Fumiya should have been more open when he was feeling left out or something. Ritsu seemed like a perfectionist or something and didn't have time for Fumiya at first which is sad and relatable because when you enter into a relationship there's always that "new relationship" attraction that can dim if you are not careful. He was definitely a workaholic. You could see how sad it made Fumiya when Ritsu didn't join him for soba noodles and instead wanted to work on his drawings. It's very important to spend quality time with one another in a relationship or else it can cause issues.
After the reset, I am so glad that Ritsu is actually making sure he spends time with Fumiya and includes him in things he wants to do. I am glad that they got to restart things. I definitely recommend this show if you love a BL with an actual PLOT and amazing acting.
Okay, so I have watched Episode 1 and 2 and I'm on 3 and I'm like "WHAT IS GOING ON?" So I know he kinda went over the reasons they separated, but if anyone knows can you tell me the official reason as to why they ended it? They were so cute in To My Star and when I started watching and noticed that HJ had left SJ I was saddened. I believe the burden of dating someone like SJ finally got to HJ and HJ didn't know how to handle it so he tried to put as much distance as he could between them thinking SJ would move on, but he underestimated SJ's persistence. I mean I can understand HJ with the car situation. That's a big gift to accept.
I found it very interesting how HJ's ex was shown to be female which may explain why HJ did what he did. I remember another show in which the guy left the other guy because he wanted a family only to later realize how much he missed his male lover and wanted to be with him. They ended up growing old though dying separately. I wonder if this will be like that? IF the EX will return to HJ's life and HJ will eventually realize his love for SJ and want to be with him....
I can only imagine how hurt SJ must feel being left with only a note and then not seeing the person you thought you'd be with for a year and when you finally see them they don't have anything to say just silence and give you pointed reasons as to why they left. Things that could have been adjusted had he known. I can't wait to see where this goes. SJ really does need to get it all out and HJ needs to address the issue and talk it out instead of running otherwise the two will definitely grow to hate each other. The director and writers of this story are doing an amazing job.
To anyone hating on HJ, he is very relatable in my opinion as is SJ and although we see SJ suffering, I am sure HJ is suffering just as much and doesn't know how to express it.
UPDATE: Either I didn't pay attention while watching the show, or the movie has a few extra scenes that I didn't get in the show. The kiss scene is also longer at the end *spoiler* but yea there are still some loopholes I wish were filled in the movie.
All I know is, I liked it, but there better be a Director's Cut that gives a little more time and explains things to us cause I was a little confused during Episodes 7 and 8. Usually, they release these short episodes and then come back with a MOVIE and in the movie, they include the deleted scenes so I think I'll wait on that to give my final verdict.
This is where the story suffers, when there isn’t enough time to convey it. Their relationship was bound to happen but we didn’t get enough build up and confirmation from each that they liked each other and wanted to do this. Also, miss thing who has liked miss designer from the get go is working my nerves. He said he sees you as a close friend boo so let that go don’t keep holding on when the other person let go ages ago. Like sir. So if the episodes were longer we would get that more in-depth relationship buildup and we wouldn’t be so confused and slightly lost but I still like the story. Homeboy body is on point. Like them abs had me shook. Oh and kudos to the supportive ass father. We don’t get many of those in the BL world but this father was supportive and cares about his sons happiness. He’s not forcing him to love someone he doesn’t. He’s supporting his like of a man and I’m here for it. We need more parents like this in the BL world.
I enjoyed it but I felt like there could have been more character development between the two mains. I felt they could have given more but I definitely loved Geum he was so interesting.
I can't wait for Viki to pick this one up. I have been such a fan of the franchise. I've watched Mood Indigo, Pornographer, Pornographer - Spring Life, and now I have to make sure I watch this.
It was okay. Would I watch it again? Probably not, but it was okay. Granted I'm not comparing it to any other stories out there. There have been some cute shows this year and I have enjoyed all of them. This one was okay and I'll leave it at that. No need for me to bash it or leave a negative remark. Everyone did what they did. I hope to see these two in other projects together. Sometimes I have to remind myself that some stories don't need to have fluff, or tons of kissing scenes, or any of that. Sometimes stories just give you what they give and that's fine because I chose to watch it and I choose to not watch it again. Be blessed.
Honestly, I am laughing so hard in these episodes mainly due to Goong Shi Woon doing the absolute most near every episode. In regards to TK and Daon, I feel like Daon doesn't truly know what he wants. Maybe it's due to his family, maybe his reputation, but I feel he should definitely be honest with TK and let him know if he's feeling him like that or not because TK is opening his little heart and the glances are just killing me. Then there's Shinwoo whose approach may have been a bit turbulent in the beginning, but we can see the softer side, the care in his eyes when he's with TK and I feel that maybe he has a chance. Who knows. Maybe if he will let go of his past and just enjoy being with TK he will learn to be himself. Regardless, I am leaning more towards Shinwoo and TK only because I feel like Daon would ultimately hurt TK due to everything he's dealing with and miss possessive ass who keeps inserting herself because she has a crush and doesn't want to deal with the fact that Daon thinks of her as a sister. Daon has too much baggage, Shinwoo has a turbulent past about his truth, and poor innocent TK has to figure out how to maneuver and accept that Daon may not be the one for him, it may be the one he least thinks.
I'm on Episode 8.... Episode 9 is uploaded finally on Viki, but I think 10 and 11 are already out. It's weird, but I can't wait.
First and foremost I need someone to point me in the direction of where I can watch. I tend to wait for shows to finish airing so that I can binge-watch, but there are rare occasions in which I will watch it while it airs. It's torture, but this has drawn my interest. Someone let me know where I can watch it.
What a beautiful ending. What Yongjie said at the wedding was so beautiful. I legit had tears in my eyes seeing Sun Bo and Zhi Gang tie the knot. They didn't mention Hao, and that he was abroad, but left out Xi Gu, so I did get a little sad that perhaps he really is gone.
Still, once again the staff behind the HIStory series wraps up another beautiful story and connected them so well with the last season. I must admit I don't have anything else to say regarding the show. For anyone wanting to watch it, don't read the reviews, just sit down and watch it and then form your own opinion. You miss out on a lot of things following the train of others.
