I agree. It stems from them wanting to feel like their morals are right. It gets on my nerve too. The whole cancel culture. Like who are we to do such a thing. I get standing up for what’s right that’s different but the things of the past should stay there.

I wonder why they put more on BL Dramas from Asia than they do from the US or other places? There was a whole moment in this one BL movie in which a man is happily married and what not, but he starts an affair with someone who is a man. No one in the comments say "OMG THAT'S CRAZY. HOW DARE HE BREAK HIS VOWS!"... Not a single word about how he was screwing a man and his wife. Then we come to BL Dramas from Asia and suddenly people have morals. Suddenly everybody wanna be mad about a drunk sex scene. That's the ONLY thing they seem upset about. Not the "I'm not gay but I love him" thing which lots of BL dramas seem to adapt especially in Asia, or the various other issues in various shows. Hell, Hao Ting from MODC BULLIED Xi Gu and then fell in love with him. So you can bully your lover and fall in love but don't let them drink to much, get drunk and then something happen.

It's the double standards for me and I can't. I take all BL dramas for what they are meant to be. ENTERTAINMENT. They're not meant to teach me ANYTHING.

If you remember during the end of MODC, Hao Ting was explaining how he was going to go to the mountain. Some interpreted it as him going to END it so he could be with Xi Gu in the afterlife. So some people thing that them showing up in the last few minutes of the other show is their spirits meeting. Cause only one of the main characters saw them and who is to say that they were "actually" there? That is one interpretation of it.

Another interpretation is that the end of MODC is just a dream that Hao Ting is having and if they do a MODC 2, it will be shown that he was having a bad dream.

However you interpret it, just try to smile and get through your days with love and joy. Meanwhile, I'm gonna go cry thinking about the first interpretation.

LOL that scene had me perplexed. I was like "wait a minute, y'all bout to go in and not come out for a month with that big ass thing of lube" lol

He did say he knew about Xing Si's tolerance for alcohol so he knew how much to give him to get him drunk.

Just an FYI, we got a step sibling romance in HIStory 1: Stay Away From Me, and HIStory 2: Boundary Crossing if you remember, it showed them, they were interesting, but neither showed the parents reaction to their relationship until this season.

Right. I agree, like we have had so many shows that have shown way worse than what these BL shows shows. Hell, we had a show How to Get Away with Murder and we had Scandal, a show about woman having sex with the President while he is still married and all the shit that goes with it, and no a single person had anything negative to say, they applauded. Infidelity is applauded. We got shows about different things and all it takes to get an uproar is for a BL Drama to show a scene where someone is drunk and coherent and taken mostly against their will, sometimes not, and BOOM explosion.

HIStory does a great job telling beautiful stories each and every time and I applaud them.

Thank you for this. I agree, people will say "he wanted it" but he wasn't coherent enough to want it, and then people will say other things to either defend or approve the action. Bottom line, it's a fictional story about four men who find love. We can't take this as factual love, we can applaud them on their love and enjoy the show like we enjoy any other show we watch, but BL dramas are meant to be an escape from the real world. They're meant to make you smile and all that stuff. People hate this and hate that and down the show because of one scene and it's very obvious they don't have the ability to separate real from fiction.

OMG you all, the last episode is Sunday on Viki..... Like all the HIStory seasons before this one, it's always sad to see it end, but exciting to see what else comes next. To those who didn't like it, that's your opinion, but remember it is YOUR opinion and other people can have their own opinion. To those who like it, it's your opinion and have fun celebrating and spreading the joy of the show. Hopefully, no one will be immature and start any arguments on the contents of the show when we can all discuss it maturely without the need for chaos. I am so ready to do this video review of the show.

Okay so yea we are going to declare this episode, Episode 8 on Viki, episode 15/16 everywhere else the SINGLE AWARENESS episode, because after watching this you become very aware that you are blatantly single and that you have come to adore each couple presented in the story and that you already want to defend them by fighting WHOEVER tries to interfere.

Soooo I did watch the preview for next weekend and yea, they gave us this beautiful episode to somehow lessen the blow for next week. I was prepared for this upcoming episode. All BL dramas have those episodes, almost always close to the end, in which the main couple's love is tested and they have to overcome it. Next week's preview shows such things and I'm hoping they overcome because as we've seen in some BLs there aren't always happy endings. I'm going to go prepare myself to accept the fact that I can go on if only one couple remains together, but I am going to throw my support that both main couples stay together, regardless of what happens.

Use the term "usually" lightly cause we all know and don't need to utter the name...

I'm afraid I don't know what scene you're referring to. I know Mu Ren was drugged by that one guy, but Li Cheng saved him and basically the drug made him horny so he had to relieve himself over and over until it wore off and Li Cheng watched over him all night which explained the awkwardness between them but also the reason for it was because Li Cheng's feelings towards Mu Ren were realized during the night they spent together with him watching over Mu Ren.

Mu Ren sobered up from the "horny" drug and Li Cheng confessed his feelings on a trip, but Mu Ren was too scared to accept them and went as far as to pretend to "date" a girl to keep from facing Li Cheng. Li Cheng had spoken the truth that he knew Mu Ren had feelings for him but in that intense moment, Mu Ren panicked and rejected Li Cheng. Skip to Episode 7 on Viki and Mu Ren then gets upset when Li Cheng gives up on pursuing him and decides to just live. Thankfully they decided to be together. I think the pace was good for it.

I too shed tears during that scene cause that's what any LGBTQ+ youth wants is to be accepted by the people they look up to and for him to get that was beautiful. I even applaud the stepmom for stepping up and revealing what she revealed.

I honestly feel like MuRen and Li Cheng's drama is done now that they've finally confessed to one another and are dating, but ya know someone from their past is bound to pop up and stir the pot, but they have a strong support system so they'll be fine.

It's Xing Si I'm worried about because he has a choice to make. Pursue his step brother or don't. I haven't seen the preview even though I want to but yea I hope for the best for them.

HIStory is really good at wrapping up the story lines by the end of the season. We are all still waiting on a second season for Trapped, MODC, Crossing the Line (Boundary Crossing) and there's still been no official announcements, but there was one for Crossing the Line a while ago it just never flourished. We will see though, if people support and HIStory as a series continues to grow its fanbase, we may see returns, as we saw guest roles for HIStory 1 actors in later HIStory seasons. I for one will wait patiently.

Let me tell y'all something.... the way they kissed each other was CUTE!! Now don't get me wrong, I'm not fond of the whole "I'm not gay I just like him" thing, but it can happen, it's called bisexuality, or pansexuality. You know some people don't even see gender they just fall in love with the person, I forgot what it's called, but people do find love in the same sex and aren't necessarily gay. They brought freaking Sun Bo from HIStory 3: MODC as a guest was adorable. I am shocked. I feel like that was some foreshadowing going on to let us know MODC 2 is coming. -_- I love it and I can't wait for that announcement. Now back to the stepbrothers.... I am so happy the father and Xing Si got a chance to talk about it. See y'all, parents do know, but they often time don't know how to address it and need time to figure it out. It was done well. The new age of things is more accepting and hopefully, I will be alive to see a day of inclusivity to the degree that everyone acknowledges love as love and acceptance and understanding flourishes in every nation under the sky.

ONCE THE SEASON FINISHES, I WILL GIVE MY UNBIASED REVIEW BECAUSE I HAVE SEEN SOME REALLY BIASED HATEFUL REVIEWS AND THAT SHIT NEEDS TO STOP. HOWEVER, HERE ARE MY THOUGHTS SO FAR.

So I just caught up to Ep 6 on Viki which is like Episode 12 I think everywhere else, and I must admit I am captivated by them. The stepbrothers are very interesting. I know we've had stepbrothers in the past HIStory seasons, but this one just hits differently. Maybe it's the storyline and the fact that they are bringing it more into the open and giving you a more in-depth portrayal. I honestly hope they end up together, but after what happened Idk how much the older brother is going to blame the younger brother and how much the father is going to get in the way. I know the younger brother got him drunk and did all that, but emotions like this are very much real and can happen. It's not right, no one is defending it, they're saying it CAN happen and it did and we acknowledge it, feel whatever and move on. Believe it or not, their storyline is really freaking good and if you paid attention instead of throwing judgement in that one scene you would be able to follow along.

Now moving on to playboy 1 and playboy 2.... like that's just like a man to want you when you stop pursuing them and find someone who makes you smile. Like the whole time Li Cheng was trying to love you after confessing, you, Mu Ren, wanna be a little cry baby and panic and shit and USE that poor girl to hurt someone who you know you like but don't wanna come to terms with it. Like Mu Ren, I am soooo disappointed in you. I know everybody's story is different, but he legit confessed to you and maybe it was a little strong but what he said to you wasn't a lie. You have feelings for him and you're scared to admit it and he's there wanting to love you and protect you and you just wanna be that person. Now that Li Cheng is hanging out with homegirl you wanna suddenly be all hurt. NO, you don't get to feel that feeling because the ball was in your court and what did you do? You stabbed it with a knife and kicked it in the ocean. So, if Li Cheng decides to be with whoever, you sit there and you take it cause you have your change. I understand feelings are often hard to understand, but I'm not making excuses for that either. I await the final 4 episodes on Viki before rendering more information.

Okay, I'm done ranting. I binged all the available episodes on Viki and I must say I expected this level of story from HIStory. I am not disappointed and don't know why people have such negative things to say. Probably because of MODC which y'all need to get over that and move on cause that's just unhealthy. Right now I give it an 8.5/10 only because there are a few things I'm questioning, but I know the timeline in the episodes skips days and weeks and possibly months so yea if they gave us some perception of time it would be a 9/10. Like tell me how long it's been since Mu Ren and Li Cheng talked, don't have me guessing that it's been weeks or months or whatever.
