In the novel, it was Jin’An in “vampire” mode who killed the Yao general (in the book it was Western Rong), however that would bring heavy consequences for him later on when he wants to resume his identity. Having her kill the general would lessen those consequences considerably I believe

Just finished the novel, it is so good! I must say Cheng Lei has certainly embraced the character of DAD/Jin’An 👍👍

I’m watching the drama and currently reading the novel as well. I kind of wish they’d stuck more to the novel plot, but we’ll see how this goes.
