I’ve seen very little official promotional content for this drama. Have there been any spicy short clips like they had for LOTFG? Any variety shows?

Heat index right now 7909, not too great, but just started so to be expected really. Will increase as the drama…
I’ve barely seen any promotional content for this drama, particularly when compared to LOTFG. Is that the case in China as well?

In the novel, it was Jin’An in “vampire” mode who killed the Yao general (in the book it was Western Rong),…
Because he killed the generals of his own country and his identity as the black masked man gets leaked out, in the novel he cannot go back to being a crown prince. They do get married and they wander around the world.

In the drama, it’ll be different since he didn’t kill the general himself I believe

I don't think it's actually related to blood loss. I think there is more to it that we and they themself don't…
The bond doesn’t get broken, it simply stabilises

Their full bond is written in the novel as a mix of proximity to her, almost consummating their not even official relationship + a memory trigger (his father’s name). It’s a bit unclear tbh

Once they’re fully bonded he doesn’t need her blood to be okay, but he would certainly not say no if she offered it 🤭

As for the last question… well, he recovers his identity in the book literally in the last few chapters. Initially he wanted to kill her, but realises that what he thought to be just a Gu-induced obsession was actually very genuine love for her. He couldn’t bear killing her. He’s a crown prince, Sima Yang (now emperor) wants to detain him in the Jin Capital, but she lets DAD to escape. She gets imprisoned, is killed by the PM. DAD finds out literally as he’s about to return to his own country. He backtracks to the capital on her funeral day and goes absolutely insane. Sima Yang’s soldiers try to attack him, but damage her coffin. DAD attaches the coffin to himself and goes on a killing rampage set to kill the emperor. She’s actually alive, pierces his chest with an arrow (purposefully missing vital organs). The Gu sect help her remove DAD from the capital, she follows soon after. Her death was a ruse to catch the PM who was in league with the other prince. DAD’s Gu-self identity leaks into Western Rong, and given that he killed so many of the country’s people and generals, he cannot be the crown prince. She cannot be a general after betraying her country. They travel the world together, get married.

He remembers the moment the full fusion takes place. The Gu never gets removed till he dies (of natural causes)

Your guess was right, the bond affects them both, however in the novel, she can basically wield some sort of inner energy, thus influencing any other Gu (which is what Jin’An has got inside of him - a Jade Immortal Gu). In his case, the fusion wasn’t initially complete, so he would go crazy with pain if kept away from her. Later he had complete fusion, but despite his loyalty and biological craving to be with her (in every sense of that word), his mind was his, and no longer felt physical pain even if far away from her.

Agreed. In the novel, their bond affected her too, but in a different way shown in the drama

It didn’t seem like he cared much tbh in the novel, but drama DAD is different to novel. In the drama, he’s always been the pillar of the country, unlike in the book where despite disappearing nobody looked for him

How long does the amnesia last? I mean upto what episode does he regain his memories?
If going by the book, quite a while. If going by the drama previews, less so.

Ah ep 10! The last half was like the novel come alive, though they made some changes to the plot there as well.…
In the novel, it was Jin’An in “vampire” mode who killed the Yao general (in the book it was Western Rong), however that would bring heavy consequences for him later on when he wants to resume his identity. Having her kill the general would lessen those consequences considerably I believe

Ji Ran? You mean Qin Lan? I think they compressed the characters Ji Ran & Qin Lan into one in the drama
