Moreover when injured, they would strictly avoid drinking alcohol, and spicy / greasy food. Even then they had already discovered which foods were cold/hot/damp in nature, and how they impacted the body.

Agreed! I think her portrayal of a female general is very on point. She’s not OP, she tires out after prolonged fighting, sometimes makes mistakes, but learns from it and is always striving to improve herself. That’s how a proper character should be written

Well, if this gets more hype, perhaps iQIYI will do the same for Shadow Love as it did for Coroner’s Diary. I’m surprised they didn’t think CD would explode. Ao Ruipeng is a super hot actor rn and the FL’s pretty established too, the drama was also well done (though I’m pissed off that they didn’t have the couple become Emperor and Empress like in the novel).
