She may be an airhead but she is dangerous. She has a very evil side to her. Let’s hope that does not bare its…
Given that she had destroyed another woman, who dared like CZ, she’s definitely got an evil side to her. Unfortunately they hadn’t shown this in the drama.
In the novel, I think she is 16 and he is between 18 and 20. They should be around the same age, because they…
She’s had her birthday in the novel, so that would make her 17. And he is 22 I think , if not 23. He was older than the original He Yan by 1-2 years as well
Xaio Jue using the "she's my beloved" excuse is pulled from the novel - and in the novel this was actually…
It’s not misogyny 🫠
The emperor never finds out that He Yan is the Feihong General, he doesn’t yet know what she can do in battle, beyond assisting Xiao Jue in a few battles. It’s not good to look for evidence of a slight where there’s none. It’s not to say that there weren’t misogynistic officials, but at that point in time her brilliance wasn’t yet displayed without it being shadowed by XJ’s accomplishments.
the best and the most beautiful confession I have ever scene. can i know where to buy a Xia Jue 😭
I had a pretty similar confession.
My husband, back then my boyfriend, gave me a big bouquet of red roses on our 6 month-anniversary for the first time. I kind of casually asked him if he knew what the roses meant, and he answered me “I do know. Do you?” That’s how we ended up saying “I love you” to each other for the first time ❤️
The writing in episode 29 was a bit of a mess for me. And it felt sped up and rushed. The editing has always been…
She was a struggling student, and he was the best, having been taught by transcendent masters from a very young age (and we are talking 3-4 yo, perhaps even less) to mid-teenagehood. How does it hurt her backstory? That’s nonsense. It shows that she was willing to learn and did so unrelentingly.
As much as I appreciate Dudu's thoughtfulness in telling the Emperor about He Yan's gender before others could…
It wasn’t wrong at all. The emperor has a soft spot for star-crossed lovers, so XJ used that angle fully knowing that he was more likely to be successful.
Finished it. In some places it was good, and certain characters grew on me, and in other scenes I felt like I was being forced to empathise with some of Han Li’s friends, despite the drama showing little meaningful bonds with them.
Toward the end, the drama felt rather disjointed and I was having a hard time trying to keep up with the timeline.
Way too much use of slow-motion movement. Instead of highlighting the magnificence of certain scenes, it became meaningless because of over usage.
Unfortunately, the chemistry with the FL remained lukewarm from start to finish. The bad guy grew on me a bit, but he still reminds me of a clown 😐
In the drama, they needlessly dragged this out
I can finally see an actual depiction of that every time Xiao Jue looks at He Yan.
Chang Lei is a contender for the best infatuated ML portrayal 😎
He’s got the peach flower eyes 🤣
