I just watched the Youtuber A's second review about this drama. She is simply a super conservative viewer who…
I’m generally quite conservative myself, but I still see no issues with this drama. It was made very clear both in the novel and in the drama that DJX had no romantic feelings for SZ, when she was young. Smh.
People like SZ’s supervisor are super petty. Being professional means not bringing in your personal issues to work. She’s a textbook case of unprofessional. The fact that she’s friends with a hysterical and delusional person like that JY says a lot about her.
I had an unprofessional supervisor like her at a previous job, and as soon as she dared insult me and my work, I forwarded her email to our manager and asked him directly if he also had any complaints with me. He literally had to apologise on her behalf. Smh
Almost every ML in c-dramas is a great basketball player lol...
Yes, true, but I was referring to the fact that DJX throughout Uni mostly just worked and studied, so playing basketball with students must be one of the things he did to unwind.
Then getting together is much more dramatic in the novel, but this was also very sweet. I liked the honey dripping scenes in ep 17. I found it nice that they added in a basketball scene, which was not in the novel.
For those saying that the last 5 episodes were weird or unnecessary, I completely disagree.
It’s actually really important for the special forces units to continuously grow, because the technology and information gathering progress will indeed eliminate them in time. It’s not that their strength and courage aren’t required, but it’s that other elite units will try to find any way to achieve even a marginal advance, in addition to the core army values.
Having knowledge of multiple languages is an absolute must for international squads. Think about the many times whole squads got wiped out in the last 25 years due to translator mistakes made on purpose or otherwise. I speak 6 languages working in business and my job isn’t vital. The army and first responders in general should know at least 3 to have an edge over competitors and be able to get the best results in their missions imo.
What happened to Bai Long is sad, but realistic. I say this as the daughter of a colonel, who had to do his masters degree at 30 or risk getting fired. He learnt not only English, but also Russian and French, because it was a must.
This time I have been watching it with my husband and my brother, both of them really like it. It’s truly impressive. From the directing, to costumes, choreography, cinematography, acting, locations, and the plot overall, all of it is too-notch. It can easily compete with any of the better western special forces or army drama/film. It’s got a lot of depth and the dialogues is great too.
This might be Yang Yang’s best work so far, acting-wise in particular.
Finished the novel in about 2 days, it was a very light and enjoyable read. I’m very impressed with how well they’ve adapted the book into a drama.
I’ve also read the manhua, but the ML isn’t nearly as handsome as the drama ML, Chen Zhe Yuan slayed this role out of the park. Throughout the whole novel I could only imagine him as the shameless DJX and Zhao Lusi as SZ.
LOL this episode has really resonated with me and reminded me of my dating days… my now husband is also a programmer, and let me tell you, it isn’t easy to date one, no matter in what industry they work. When a programmer is really good at his job and has got loads of big projects, and the two of you live on two opposite sides of London… it can definitely be a pain /sigh
DJX needs to cherish himself more and also not be afraid to share his burdens with her. Being more open with her will give her a sense of security but also let her know that he trusts her. Mutual support is very important.
It was super cute how her friends got her ready for the impromptu date! She’s very lucky to have them!
Lol at DJX coming for the sharing class. DJX, your presence is too eye-catching! She has to pretend to be asleep, kind of defeats the purpose of her attending the class at all 🤣🤣
