:D Wydaje mi sie ze jesli chodzi o romeo i Julie, to Sword and Flower jest duzo bardziej autentyczne niz TPM -.- Sword and Flower jest wlasciwe calkowiecie przeciwstawen do TPM, bo ma zupelnie inne tempo. Poza tym aktorsko, Sword and Flower jest sto razy lepsze niz post?kiwania Park Shi Hoo i Moon Chae Won, choc Moon Chae won nie jest znowu tragiczna, na pewno lepsza niz Park Shi Hoo w kazdym razie. Ale Kim Ok Bin robi na mnie duze wrazenie w tej roli a i Uhm Tae Woong ma duzo serca i te smuuutne oczy, oj, oj.

Hiya :D sounds like a good plan there :) Ah well I think I find most popular dramas watchable except it depends on my frame of mind. Whewn I"m being critical then I sometimes end up being overly harsh but most popular dramas just do the same thing over and over again. I started out from enjoying all the popular dramas because they seemed so fresh to me at the time. The more you watch, the more you develop a sense of what is good and what is worse in terms of quality. I think in retrospect it is dramaland that taught me to be more discerning. But if you are really hating something I don't think there is a point in continuing it, because this time could be better spent on something that you may actually enjoy :D What sort of things annoy you the most in dramas?

:D w lazdym razie Knife and Flower ma jednak calkiem historie niezla. Jesli The Princess man udawal romeo i julie, tak ta drama jest faktycznie odziwerciedleniem romeo i julii. Te kamery i inne staraja sie podkreslic emocje bohaterow, przesz co drama unika ocen moralnych postaw bohaterow i ich motywacji, przynajmniej jak dotad i wrecz zaciekawia- co ta postac tak naprawde czuj, mysli. Np jest taki general w tej dramie, ktory jest bardzo malomowny ale jego emocje sa widzoeczne dzieki technikom zastosowanym. Kim Ok Bin jest okdryciem dla mnie! Bardzo autentyczne aktorstwo z jej strony. W sumie zaczyna mi sie bardzo podobac da drama bo dla osob o nastawieniu refleksyjno-poetyckim to moze byc wrecz idealan drama tak mi sie wydaje po podcinku 6 :D

the acting is very authenthic- Kim Ok Bin os a revelation and other casts are very storng. I5's just that as I say the slow pace and the aspirations to be more "artistic" may be a turn off for some but I think it;s pretty well made and good intentions are there. Which saeguks did you like so far? Have you seen many?

I think Sword and Flower is a bit of a unoque case among saeguks because it's a saeguk that is very slow. It focuses on conveying silences and glances as a means of conveing emotions and connections between characters. By being "artsy", it slows down the pace of development of the story, and this may be a turn off. The drama doesn't seem to judge the characters and theor motivations by doing so, it really focuses strongly on showing that they thing and feel very deeply. There are many "intimate" shots which fade in to another character to show the connection between them. And the story starts picking up only very slowly. So in a sense this drama requires some patience. For me, I like it because I get to feel the characters a lot more than in other saeguks. There are some crazy action sequences too. The story itself is a genuine Romeo and Juliet

I see. Yes, perhaps he does feel guilty. That's why I love him, he seems to be eternally feeling things he doesn't say. So by what you're saying I suppose he won't die just yet, that's good to know. :P

The folk singing part was what was difficult for me. Consequently I keep the film in plan to watch lists because I need to return to it. I really couldn;t get used to the chanting, it's very difficult for my ear. THe story itself is quite nice,. Well I think your time is better spent on dramas other than Hong sisters :D

I think the first hong sister drama i watched was Delightful girl Choonhynag. I think I am still able to toelrate Hong sisters because of that one drama because at the time when I watched it I found it nice and I liked Jae Ha's smile lol. Of course delightful girl is typical hong sister but it;s quite nice in the way it has a paralle story going on, it's based on Chunhyang.and the other one I liked from them was Gumiho. So again something they based on Korean tradition. Retellings of folktales are nice, I aslways look forward to seeing new twists on old fairy talkes or folk talesm I guess that's why I was able to like them too.

I do like historical drama. Some of my favourites are Jumong, Jejoongwon, Queen Seon Duk. I am watching Seord and Flower now as well and I like ir. I like when there are no "events" and when a drama is more thoughtful. Sword and Flower is thoughtful but relies a lot on silences and pauses. Thsat is likely not everyone's cup of tea.

mtos mi mowil ze czytali gdzies ze w ogole pieniadze z reklam przeznaczone na reklame spadaja a koszty pordukcji rosna wiec mozemy w przyszlosci widziec spadek jakosci filmowej dram koreanski. Podobno juz sie zgodzili ze czas emisji dram bedzie krotszy. Szesc lat temu dramy byly filmowane inaczej, dzisiaj filmuje sie je inaczej, ale wyglada na to ze jeszcze zobaczymy powrot do przeszlosci. Jezeli skloni do autorow do kladzenia wiekszego nacisku na same histore, to moze cos tegoz jeszcze bedzie.

Yes, I heard so too. It eeally makes want to go and see it but for now I'll wait...YHou know the synopsis kind of made me think about Planetes. lol.

For about six years now, I started at 21 :) I think whether or not you lose interest depends on what is your purpose in watching. My purspise in watching is to explore storytelling across various media and find the gems and separate them from the rubbish in order to construct my ultimate collection of stories across media. I love exploring so losing interest is never going to be a problem for me. You could say I have an academic interest in dramas and anime ;-) But there are times when I get fed up mostly because k dramas are terribly pretentious most of the time. I do hope you will enjoy it if only for the cute couple. There's not much else going for it, really, but you just may be drawn to how soul-matey the relationship is.
