I finished it. 100 episodes is more like 50x40 mins, that's nothing and lately I really am into marathoning anime. Yes, it was fun to watch, I LOVE when rookie surprises everyone like Sakuragi,but I think I prefer to go for something more rounded like Hungry Heart as it had more character development outside the game, while Sd focuses mostly on development on the court and through the game. It felt like Slum Dunk was stripped of everything else besides the barebones, that is a strongly focused anime on what happens in court. I liked it, much to my surprise, it was very involving, the games were very interesting to watch, too bad they left out the national match... I don't see any good reason for it. I know how the manga ends, though, I looked up the final several volumes leading up to what happens after the final game is won. But SD really felt real and that is a big plus.
