It may come off as a bit tacky in the way it tried to be whmisical but I didn't mind, I actually liked the etheral-melancholic mood set by both music and some gimmicks to make it "dreamlike". However the only genuinely likeable character was the good Hai Jie and perhaps Lisa. The rest did grow on me eventually. However, it may suffer from being seen as a drama which tries too hard to be different in terms of technical execution, whilst offering a sugar-coated melodrama instead of substance, as that what it is two love stories soaked in mystery related to one of the characters and bound by friendship between characters.not at all like nodame cantabile, classical music was not as well developed as in NC. Nodame is actually better because it doesn't try to be pretentious, this one may come off as pretentious. I personally did not dislike it, however. on the contrary.

Well this was a fun ride. Really good drama. Fortunately nothing like ramyun shop- i never liked it because I found it too cutesy. But this one is a good story that doesn't sugar coat things, whils putting emphasis on genuine friendshipo that goes through genuine ups and downs but ultimately it strenghtnes both itself and each of the friends. Really good, undoubtedly a memorable drama which leaves something tangible to go away with after it ends.

Where is princess Murasaki in the synopsis?? The princess is the main female lead. No the writer, but the actual…
I don't think this is actually based on Genji monogatari itself but on a novel which is based on Genji... written by screen writer Yukiko Takayama or so I heard. Think that may have something to do with this and so I suspect the sysnopsis doesn't actually leave anything out.

I actually know for a fact that law professors tend to be the wors since they tend to be full of themselves. Just bear with it. You don't have much left and you have already went such a long way, so you can handle the rest as well. ah so it's technicallu national holiday? You seriously have some crazy universities: classes on saturday and national holidays? they're heartless. well at least you solved the problem somehow, but it really shouldn;t be happening. good luck on the exams.

aww, thanks.well that mostly comes from observing MDL. but the rest of the internet like article comments can be just as uncivilised. hard to maintain indifference sometimes because rudeness is infuriating, as if it cost anything to remain civil even if "anonymous". well in any case, have a nice afternoon. Until next time :)

WHAT! He has no right to do this, it is again university regulations, check with your student status/university laws! You should go to the dean and report that! and your judgment results?

Salaryman is quite as underappreciated as some of thise older dramas like quiz show. In fact Lee Bum Soo is quite popular as an actor, given his charisma, even in MDL. Ohhh? I am SO looking forward to it then! Ko Huyng Jung will be absolutely PERFECT as the teacher! Perfect! I just finished a bunch of dramas myself, but mostly of the lighter kind (one with hwang jeong min, a little superstar-ordinary guy romance but Hwang Jeong Min is an absolutely capable actor) + one harsher movie Art of Fighting. Not bad but it felt very brusque in directing and the story relied on too much violence for my tastes, especially given its dictum set out by the very charismatic mentor to the struggling kid. A sort of a more violent, harsher version of Karate Kid, but not bad.

I know. But standards of beauty are different for everyone and I guess he has a bit of a boyish charm that teens will likely love. He's definitely not a capable actor for now at least. What always worries me is that the masses are what decide on the shows TV airs. So if that;s what they want, tv will give cheesy shows with pretty faces. Don't mind chees, don;t mind pretty faces but PLEASE people learn to respect that other will not agree with your fangirlism/fanboyism, which is really becoming very extreme sometmes to the point of becoming rude. What gets to me even more is that it really shows that young are treating the internet like a right, not a privilege and are taking it all for granted: subber's efforts, the oppinions of others. It's frustrating me to no end how ironically narrow-minded internet is. as if no etiquette existed whatsoever. Indeed! But I don't think

Loved it- I just rewatched it. But more for the interactions between Sang Chul and the main lead. The two of them were hilarious but they really bonded over time. I love the main lead, he is a very capable actor! Very natural in just...sliding into his roles, very convincing. the lead guy is GOOFY but such a good person. I just find him very endearing.

I don't like the male lead too much, but in this drama he captures me completely. Very wekll acted for the most part. It was a lovely tale, well developed and convincing, though imho they overdid the mother character. The music was a genuine mood-enhancer. It was such a slow tale, flowed a bit like a dream, probably due to the music. I really liked this one. I don't think those who liked Tatta... will necessarily like rich man poor woman and vice versa as the pacing and depth in both dramas is different. This one I find to be more...flowing and immersive. I had a sense of genuine differences separating the two young lovers here and the obstacles which made them stronger...unlike in RMWP, the connection between the two dramas is only superficial. Tatta feels more real, RMWP is a sugary fairy tale in comparison (I liked them both)

not blaming anyone, by far. It;s just annoying, things could be better if children were educated how to properly discuss things rather than diss others for their different opinion, that's all that bothers me. well, I suppose boys need their "entertainment" too. As long as both fan boys and girls grow up well, I suppose it's a phase we all go through.

aha :D but I don't think there are many natural beauties left :( well you know I"m worried these days. the masses like poor dramas as long as they have their fasvourite sweethears, such as Joo Won. I"m worried the quality of dramas will really soon go down the drain and I"m really pissed off by little girl fangirls who are absolutely childish and immature in the way they behave towards people with different tastes. They really should grow up. Sigh.

Yup! Same here, hopefully. II wonder if it ends up underrated on MDL again.. Tastes among MDL users seem to have shifted and they are even more idol-based (Joo Won) than ever...I feel sorry for lots of talented actors out there who may have a hard time competing with these youth idols... There really are a lot of underrated great dramas out here, and they would have been more popular if only they had that idol.. Old dramas are also dissed just because they are old. How sad is that? Did you watch Quiz Show?
