I watched this dama while ago, Farah, and haven;t rewatched it sicne my memory of it is very hazy, but I don't regret watching it. I think I wouldn;t have rated it so highly now, but I liked the story of a girl who through painting tried to discover the mystery of her oast. By crossressing she created a typical complication since a woman fell in love with her- and believe it or not, the two women later won best couple award, I also liked the strong mentor-disciple relationship. but I heard it being compared to Tree wuth deep roots- only this drama is not about dying for the king, and uses beautiful portraits as a clue to the mystery. I remeber the portraits the most, i really loved them. The story is very slow and drags, with some convetional plots and twists. the lead actress is acquired taste, but I think it really won;t be better than tree with deep root.

a no bo wlasnie glowna bohaterka to standardowa bohaterka romansow.

but I do like the lead couple, they are adorable, even if it is stuck in the same romcom standards/ sterotypes. But the production values are high. lol love your way of defining oguri shun, haha! <3 I do like him, he's a genuine actor and his character projections are very tangible.

lol, long comments are fine by me- I live for them :P. not all j dramas are like it. and j dramas do tend to have more substance, at least i find them so. RMPW is actually like Buzzer Beat a bit- it was done by the same director and it's a good romcom, but as all romcoms has the same flaws. I'm just hoping it doesn;t mean all japanese dramas will be like this. I think I do see the point about it being a hally break into jdramas, I don;t agree with it as long as dramas like this don't become a rule- because all dramas need variation..but to me japanese dramas so far to me were refreshing to watch. However. I do like romcoms but I also want something more from my dramas, something that doesn't leave me frustrated- why the hate on asahina and Yoko? they aren;t bad people...and i have a problem with the message it sends,

hah, less time for drama addiction, huh? Well I think now it may be motivating, you can reward your efforts after a long and montonous week with watching dramas. I wish you good luck in your schooling :) Oh I quite like poor man, rich woman - this is intentional lol. However, I do have issues with it. I don't think neither Asahina nor Yoko deserve so much bashing, Huga could be less self-centred- even if he is innocent, he can be still quite inconsiderate. But I find Makoto and him adorable, so I am looking forward to the happy ending, but realistically speaking, this drama is not perfect, but as a romcom it is fine. It;s from the same director as Buzzer beat- so it has a similar feel. Gaskital doesn't seem to by my thing but its production values are very appealing. I have recently watched some dramas that left me in thought. I think my standards in drama watching are changing a bit.

Same with poor Asahina bashing. Gosh, I really feel sorry for the Asahina bashing going on, he's a nice guy and underappreciated and could really use a boost to his own self-respect. He always looks so modest and dejected, as if he could use a freaking hug. And yet, no he's the evil one. If Huyga was less "innocent" and less focused on his own problems, he probably would have noticed that his friend is in need. I do find this problematic, and yet I find the leads likeable. I think this conflict will resolve itself. Well..I just stopped to write a comment since I noticed you dropped it. I am off to raid your lists. I hope you don;t mind baring so rudely on your profile :)

Hi Omichelle, was just raiding your drama lists for some ideas lol- I hope you don;t mind but I ocasionally stop by to find something with more substance in your watching lists. Aaaa.. I see you dropped Rich man, it;s the sterotypes, isn;t it? But what is to be expected from romcoms? I found a very worrisome quote on DC today: "The succes of this j-drama is proof that people want to see love stories in dramas. J-dramas are way too focused on anything else but romance. It's time to get back to the roots of the dramas:LOVE!!!!" And if that means fluffy romcoms with same schemas being repeated, as they are wont to, because these schemas sell and moreover win awards.. AGD has such schemas too, quite sexist.. Still, I can't bring myself to dislike the Zuckerberg-ype character in RMPW and I can bear the sterotypes, even though logic tells me otherwise.

Mialabyc cos na przeciw jakbym wyslala friend request? to moze pogdamy sobie, lubie dyskutowac i doceniam roznice zdan, bo to zawsze wzbogaca dyskusje.

ja obawiam sie jestem zwolenniczka hana yori dango ponad boys before flowers.

On naprawde sie nimi staje.

oh, I liked frequency for the father son storyline, for sure, the mechanics of time travel are less beliveable than, say, letters in il mare, but it was interesting to see how they manipulated time to get a happy ending lol. Because ditto does sound like frequency, i'm not really bothering with it.
This is time saved for something sounding more worthwhile lol.
