to a healthy degree! the thinking people should be getting some dramas to sink into as well, that;s why i really appreciate dramas like this one...they change the way I view dramas and they tell me that dramas can actually be works of art rather than mere entertainment.

You know, coming back to the proving wrong part...I actually find it sad this drama is underappreciated, I find it strange, because to my mind it really is an excellent drama on all counts. I am growing concerned, given the populairty of fluffy romcoms, that drama produces will cease to produce material that is actully worthwile. I am not aying fluffy romcoms are bad, since I enjoy them myself..but all I am saying is that we may get an unhealthy balance of too mch romance and not enough substance. This drama has substance. And I found this someone saying on DC today (under rich man, poor woman) "The succes of this j-drama is proof that people want to see love stories in dramas. J-dramas are way too focused on anything else but romance. It's time to get back to the roots of the dramas:LOVE!!!!" which is really waht I am against. I am for balance: romcoms yes- in a healthy dosage. But

But if you;re getting too much feeling for one of them-you must reexamine yourself. I"m not ure what you mean by realistic there. I thought this one was quite realistic? Be that as it may, I loved the two of them and Saeki was very infortunate, but she also learned to move on. She's also a law student an I thought you too would have a lot of topics to talk about, that and she is a like minded spirit with a lot of interesting insights. Thank you for your message! In a way, I see your point about shuji being in the center of attention..but this time I can disagree finally LOL. I don't think he realised it. The fact that he mended his ways with his brothers shows that he didn't realise some things and that he wasn;t after popularity, but wanted to do what is right, because he has been taught to do what is right and not cause trouble to anyone. natsumi, in turn, was after populairty,imho. There are and always will b e favourites, but the trick is not to show preference and treat alls tudents the same.

I really liked it, but overlooking some of the sexist aspects of this drama. I found it be an excellent chick flick, as it had all a chick flick should have. That and I liked Yoon. I am really glad you are enjoying it so far and I'd be interested to know your opinion later on, let me know how you like and when you stop liking it- I definitely won';t hold that against you, as it;s not the most ambitious drama out there lol- it's more fluff and glamour, but hopefully you'll have fun!

if he is dedicated and really cares. I think also when the principal said: you never know whehther what others think is a screwup for a person, really will be screwup. I bawled at the final speech he gave to his students. yes, I just thought that natsumi wasn't very pedagogic telling that boy student all about how Shuji is a coward, but yes it wasn't to the point that I couldn;t be understanding of her position. What bugs me is that she is now considered to be the great lady by sticking to the screwup. Such judgments really hurt people but Shuji is looking up to become a tower of strength. On a different note, I can't believe Miura is 22!! He looked about 27 in this drama. Can't say I like him, but I found him very fitting here. So much for proving you wrong about liking this drama :P I was really happy to watch it, if anything to question teacher's role but also to see how people mature

I also had a teacher- she used to be verys trict as a young teacher as everyone said but when she got older she mellowed- because she could allow herself to do it. older teachers are in a somewhat better position to be more friendly. But no matter friendly or not friendly it is lie Nishikima said - treat students like human beings. He sounds like he has simp,y much to learn. Taking your student experience and tranferring it to your teaching can help you,. in my opinion, inasmuch as you know what you wanted to hear as a student and how you wanted the lecture to be done. That's why it's important to not forget about your students days, but going into the extreme is a bit dangerous- you have to draw the line and look professional and have some respect for yourself, if you don't respect yourself, others will not respect you. But it sounds like he will learn,

Yes, to have a bond like that is a very precious thing..I loved them in the end so much. This is a deeply involving and complex drama, just like our lives are. Mistakes have consequences, but if you believe in a mistake and stick to a decision about how to deal with it- even if it becomes even more of a mistake, then you have a chance to learn. It's another drama I wish now I hadn't hesitated to watch. I fell in love with it. Thank you, Farah, for recommending it :)
