Haha, thank you! I understand where you're coming from and my reason agrees with you. I don't think it's easy to forget things if you strongly believe in them, and I think it;'s more then fine, especially when you have sensible reasons to your argument- which which I agree. And I continue, because I do tend to enjoy romance for the romance's sake and sometimes somehow fluff of this sort is precisely what is needed. I think watchers tend to know that it's unrealistic, and romcoms in general have a bad name. I haven't seen many that try to be a romcom and yet go against the sterotype. If they are, they are usually too cynical, they tend to fall int extremes, unfortunately, but it;s the fault of commercilising love in general. So far I've only scene the crow scene, it gave me the goosebumps and I can feel it in my bones "im going to really get into this drama.

Hello Juniko. How are you? How is your drama watching with mom going? How are you liking rich man, poor woman?

Does anyone know if this has been subbed and how many eps this has and if it's finished airing?
according to the japanese wikipedia, this is scheduled to end on September 7 It airs every Friday, in the 23:15 time spot, but there were some delays due to the olympics and British Golf Open on July 20. 8 episodes aired so far, the last one on August 31, and it looks like it's the last one this week so it looks like there are a total of 9 episodes.

" This series will not follow the narrative style of historical dramas" this part of the synopsis sounds…

By the way, can you tell me why you hated Dae Mul? I am curious. Was it because as a standard mainstream production it offered more of the same? Or you found the job misrepresented? I'd like to knw, since I enjoyed that drama, mostly for the story of a woman who became a president. Perhaps it was unrealistic how she got there, but I don't think the political part as she was struggling for it were too far off. Anyway, I'm curious. one more thing about Painter: it has elements of investigation and reading from paitings which you may find intereting, but you may find them overshadowed sometimes and you may find the story too slow, but if you liked the tree with deep roots, you may like this one I think. And the novels on which both dramas were based on were written by the same author.

Title Jin
Rarely does a drama take all the awards in the television academy awards, this one took away them practically all of them in the 63rd Television Academy Awards.. Just the actress award went to the actress in Shokojo Seria and except for Special Award, which went to Tenchijin. All other major categories went to JIN. wow.

I love this drama.Although this kinda 'relation-complication' theme is not my type,I enjoyed this particular story…
Now that sums it up very well, and I agree. I do think this story opetates on a different than normal level bit you;ve phrased it better :) that's why it's so..transformative for drama watching, it actually does force some empathy and you have to look at ti in three-dimensional ways, rather than simple standard drama schemas.

Well, I still want to see what happens in the final episodes, but the reoslution of Asahina-Toru conflict will likely by typical and watered down, and too bad. I am thinking of watching both, actually, but will wait until more episodes air of Arang and am waiting for a good mood to watch Shut up. In the meantime, I just watched other dramas and because I am in a AMwang-story mood, I think I will watch Guilty Akiyama. I had a look at the first episode opening scenes and wow it seems well produced. The sort of sequences that are there are waht tends to pull me in. I also planned to watched Vampire prosecutor, but i can;t seem to get into it for now.

I expect romcoms to have this standard character types. It's her choice, it depends on what you have in your heart, but yes, she could use to be more..self-confident. Oh, I like Yoko, she' still fighting, too and can you blame a girl for trying? She's nice. But Hyuga the entrepreneur is a modern characteR: closed, self-centred, neurotic and engaged in a very modern buisness. Asahina is the old fashioned type and he;s been stylised that way. I think this story could have used more depth, it is a regret. But this was meant tob e a romance..and it;s from the same director as Buzzer beat, so it has a similar feel.heck, even music starts in the same moments, and the story thus has a similar feel as Buzzer Beat. Well, I still like the character, even of they are underdevloped, though I am also concerned what kind of messages high viewership of this drama sends..

It;s just that as far as sterotypes go, I tend to think about you as one of thise whose criticism are absolutely well grounded and so I trust their opinions..without sacrificing my own, of course and I do like how sensible you tend to be, I really respect that so I like to visit from time to time :) I think the mother issue will return in episode 10, I don;t think they droppe it entirely, basing on the written preview. What I don;t like is Hyuga's self0centredness. Ihf he wasn;t so self-centred and focused on just his own self-pity, he wouldn;t have let Asahina feel the way he does. And yet, i can identify with the feeling of self-pity , but that is precisely why someone should break his wall. I feel Makoto is a mother type, but I like her, I'm probably less strict with these things myself, because

LOL, idon;t mind at all, love your expressiveness, :) HELL, yes, legal hiugh must be one of the best dramas in recent years, very refreshing! As for Hanakawe..I felt the ideas was good..and as long as the story would be good, it would be fine,. but it lost me somewhere...however I like the idea, it was a family drama. Oh well. hehe, what i meant Yoko is quite a modern woman and Asahina is misunderstood. well, lets see how it ends, i like it even though i disagree with some of its sterotypes, it is an adorable romcom. Did you watch buzzer beat?

I see, but these sort of precautions are also in emrican films. It;s just, I think a way to make sure they aren't plagarising, or at least that it;s not their intention to do so. Thank you for the king. I understand your frustrationns, and you can rant all you want, I won;lt take offence, but what dre me to the drama most of all were the paitings and the art of reading them AND how beliveable she was as a man AND her relationshio with the teacher, I loved that. I see, I hope you are feeling better now..,Salaryman is an excellent slapstick corporate comedy lol. Buisness da Mul, I haven't really considered it that way, interesting perspective :) But Dae Mul had little humour and this was all about slapstick. Do take care Yeona and saty well..also I really can;t waiti to see a different version of yushin, :D I want to know more eperspectives on this hero.

I'm not sure how helpful this sounds since the memory of events in the drama is now very vague. I remeber there were many moments of reading the paintings and I found that a very interesting method of investigations- I really enjoyed thiose moments when they were reading the paitings to reavel things. There was also the mystery of the death of her parents, which connected her on more personal level with the teacher. but again, the paintings i loved and the student-mentor relationship was what drawn me to the drama. And this is what stayed, and then the ending did feel like a wind passing because of the farewell. She had to go- I think she may have been exposed as a woman- and they were supposed to go together, but she left her teacher and she left him with a paiting, a memory, an echo.

as it will rely on some standard plot devices, coincidences and the King is again the top priority in many ways as he will decide the lives of these characters, so if you;re tried of dramas in whiuch loves are somehow given to the king, I also do not recommend it. The ending..the endin g was bittersweet and I remeber being affected by it, especially because it again used the paiting. I remeber it did speak to by emotions back then. By the time the student-mentor relationshio developed more, and despite age gap, the two were crlealy deeply caring for another..however I can;t remeber what happened exactly, because I haven't rewatched it in months and I usually do at least return to a drama. But I think if it hasn't stayed with me very clealry- like jejoongon has- then it means it was probabvly a one-time watch. I did like the paintings the most, as they are real paintings, too.
