I had bought the book during my first trip to Japan two years ago, I was so excited when I saw it was going to be adapted into a serie. Now I'm back in Japan again watching the drama adaptation haha. I didn’t have time to read the book because of too many kanji I was not able to read yet so I discovered the full story through this serie. It was so interesting, I loved it and it really motivated me to read that book that has been sleeping in my library for 2 years now 😂It’s a short serie but it didn’t need more episodes or more time to go straightforward to the main topic with a lot of interesting questionings. Very mature serie about break up and social issues, not the kind of story we are used to and it was a pleasure to watch. 10/10 for me.All my love to Hasegawa 😆 very touching character
Randomly discovered this a few hours ago and decided to binge watchJust peak adorable but there should be bigger…
Omg yes! I just finished it hoping until the end it would be underlined as problematic but no... and at the same time, from a Japanese production, I'm sadly not surprised... that man is clearly a predator, even in the way he approached Akira. He was older and had a psychologic advantage on him so wth...
Intha acts so sus to me 😂 I'm watching ep 4 now and he's only been acting like a red flag, and saying stuff I heard in documentaries of women talking about their abusive relationship. I know that in some BL (and more widely romances), being "possessive" is depicted as "attractive" (whatever...) but this one is tough 🥲
I just watched the first ep, and why is Pete so chill and unbothered about all the yao thing happening right before his eyes? Am I missing something? He's not supposed to know about it yet he barely asks questions 😂
I don’t know how to explain it but while this drama is for sure not the best and have some lacking in the story telling, I really enjoyed it a lot like... a lot! I liked the chemistry between the actors, the characters were overall very cute together and seemed sincere even if they can’t communicate properly which was also interesting to follow. I really liked it, I wish there was more even better drama like this
I don’t have much to say about the drama as a whole, it was cute, but the Chinese stereotype in this serie really got on my nerves and I'm not even Chinese 🥲 the very few Chinese characters (2~3) are portrayed with negative traits only and it is very exagerrated, I couldn’t enjoy scenes with them
The casting team need a raise for the mains’ younger selves cast, they are absolutely perfect. It’s rare enough to see such an accuracy to underline it!
Did you guys know that Cha Eunwoo’s name is being heavily censored like he’s Voldemort by parts of Korean…
I am not very aware of every cases on going in SK but I heard about Cha Eunwoo (and I could care less...), however I guess you are refering to a or multiple se*ual offender.s? Who are they?
I was so scared when I started this one because I was like 'omg this is going to be tol sexuà foe me' but Krit and Wayu are actually very cute, especially Wayu 🥹 Krit is still too ambiguous 👀 and Singtoooo 😭
I'm giving this drama a 10 even if it was not fully perfect and that episodes were very inequal in the story telling. I didn’t expect to like this drama this much, I honestly gave it a try because I really like PerthSanta. I was expecting something very cliché with heavy/cringe comedy but it is not what it is at all.
To begin with, the 'has a 7 year old mental age' plot was really a no go for me but it happened that it’s not what it seems to be. It’s not just a classic 'becoming a child again out of nower because it’s funny and overdramatic' the story behind it is actually deeper. Even if it’s a comedy, for the heavy subjectifs it’s about, the story lack of realistic plot lines, especially for everything about mental health and alter system (because this is what it actually is about, mainly), some issues resolutions seemed too easy (Pobmek’s mom, Solar’s dad etc...) and rushed in one episode when they had 10 episodes to develop it fully and build tension (especially a plot twist that would’ve shooked everyone even harder if it was written a bit differently). This is for me the biggest weak point of this drama but it doesn’t prevent to truly enjoy it because it is a very colorful drama with kind and bright characters, even in their darkest times. Perth and Santa chemistry is on an another level in this serie and I am really looking forward to their future work (together or individually), they really carried the serie but the children, Sammy and Kay gave a big part to make it what it is.
It would’ve been a funny plot twist 😂 Boom and Mix have so much in common and a lot of chemistry, this really made me want to see them work together again in a new drama
I liked it better than season 1 but still, it was not very good in my opinion. I didn’t like season 1 either so I was not expecting much anyway 😆 both seasons had very messy story lines and unfinished/messy character development with few exeptions and few good points nontheless (loved Mix and Boom)
Omg I came in the comments for this wth! I mean even if it’s a parody, any reminder of how it’s illegal and…
Yeeees, and there are some of them who are even protected by their publishing house and are able to work under different names when they already have been sentenced
Omg I came in the comments for this wth! I mean even if it’s a parody, any reminder of how it’s illegal and…
Not especially in BL, this is a problem in a lot of manga 😕 it doesn’t exist in Thai BL, I know only one example of big age gap for Korea but both are adults, it’s Japaaaan 😩 and I love Japan, don’t get me wrong, but minors being involved with adults in fiction is a real problem there 😖 a lot of mangaka are pedophiles, it’s driving me sick too
Omg I came in the comments for this wth! I mean even if it’s a parody, any reminder of how it’s illegal and criminal would’ve been welcomed 😨 it just feels like it’s perceived as acceptable while it’s absolutely not 😱

edit: I actually did, I just didn’t know his name 😂😂
